What do you feel about Yanni?Who do you think compares with him in the same kind of music?

I like Yanni, though some of his stuff can be repetitive. I come from a figure skating background, so we'd be familiar with Yanni music at the rink. Some people didn't care for his music and would call him "Yawn-ni" . . . but I think he deserves more praise than that! A lot of his music is rather relaxing and emotional, to me. I skated to a couple of his pieces: "Reflections of Passion" and "Love is All". We saw the documentary for "Voices" and thought most of it was fantastic. For some reason, I like to play his CD's on a particular cold, rainy, winter day. Honestly, I don't know enough about that genre to say who really compares to him. When I found Kitaro, I thought he was sort of the Japanese version of Yanni - with a slight rock edge.

I accept your view he deserves more praise than to be called yawni.
