The things for sale in "Second life" are real and we have to pay real money ?

I am new the second life and saw some market place also there and found that there were number of things and their price. So can you tell me are they real
and also if they are virtual. and i have to pay the real money for that.

I doubt that you have to pay real money for the things in second life but I dont know. I know some people in real life make money from the things they do in second life but I dont know the extent to wich it happens. I guess you could read the rules and see what they say.
