Even though I am a Mets fan I was sad to hear that Cox is retiring after 2010.he is a good manager. The question is will he be remembered for reaching the playoffs almost every year or that his team only won The world series only once?Your thoughts.

I rarely watch NL games but remember Cox from when I was kid. The Braves were one of the best teams. I still can't believe they never won more world series. It felt like they were always there. Perhaps I just didn't pay that much attention. Cox was a great manager and I never heard anything negative about him. You can't say that for a lot of coaches here in Chicago, lol.

As a Braves fan, I am really sad to see him go. It really is about that time though. I would rather see him go out on a good note than be out there for too long and lose control. I think he will be more remembered for being a player's manager than his successes. Every story I hear from players seems to be positive about Bobby Cox. The string of division titles is almost unheard of and definitly a big part of his career. I will also remember him for being #1 on the lifetime ejections list. You have to love a manager who will go get tossed for his players. He will no doubt be missed.
