Well, it´s a simple question: "Have you ever fall in love with an online friend?" If yes, did you meet him/her later? Tell me your story.

Yes I fell in love over the internet once and it was so lovely but horrible at the same time! We had all these strong feelings for each other but since we were quite young we couldn't afford to go and see each other. Anyway, ultimately he found someone else and I was left heartbroken for ages. I guess some people don't understand how you can have a relationship with someone over the internet well there's many ways of contacting someone without them being there such as the telephone and video calls and these all make them feel very close to you! I am still in touch with this guy as we just always seem to get along no matter how long we haven't spoken for. I am sure we will meet one day soon and when we do I know it will mean alot to both of us even though we aren't in love anymore. I would say I have found a friend online who I care about alot in a love way but I am not in love with him. But I would do anything to help him and keep him out of danger. Even though I have never met him I would do everything I could for him. I guess I am a very caring person and it is easy for me to become attatched to people when I see good in them.

Hi! thanks for your big answer. I was saying to another frind just minutes ago that I woul express my opinion later but I just realized I won´t be abble to add my final opinion in other place. I have to give it in one of my responses. So here it goes: I'll pick one of your sentences: "I guess some people don't understand how you can have a relationship with omeone over the internet..." Well, I am not surprised this can happen. Here's the thing: for centuries we discuss that what counts it's the inside of the person and not the outside, right? Well, of course both counts but...For example, you go out and you meet a person that you find very pretty. That makes you look to him/her. But sometimes only to discover that that person has no brains...LOL. SO, he/she is pretty but could never be your other side because you don´t find his brains appealing to you...I am sure that most of us already had this experience. But now let's talk about the contrary: You met someone that you find nothing special and you start to have a discussion. You both start to talk to each other and then you find him/her special! This already happen to me and then suddenly I am thinking "she is pretty!"...So,in conclusion, I do think that our inside beauty does wins! So, here in the internet you first meet the inside - the most important - so it´s not a surprise when you realize that that person is special and has a lot common things with you. Let us not be cynic here: of course we have to find the other part beautiful, but they will become even more beautiful when we know them by inside - their personality!

At first, I just reply to his message knowing just for the friendship. But time goes by, from exchange messages on emails. We are now exchanges messages on Yahoo Messenger. Knowing him well more and more, is like falling in love with him more and more. Every single day we missed chatting, our day would every be complete. Especially, the time difference and he is busy with his work and i have class to attend to. But we try our best to communicate each day. Unfortunately, we never met yet. His from other country, very difficult to see each other just for a date. But hopefully, I will go to his place early next year for my studies, but before that, he will come to visit me here in my place.

Hi.Thanks for your answer. A little advice here: don´t let time pass...arrange a meeting. We only live one life (at least one at the time...).

Yes, I did. I met him in a chat room and we started talking as friends. We were living pretty far, and I was a university student. We started meeting and dating, I would go to his place or he would visit me every two weeks. It would take 4 - 5 hours by fast train. We were alwais calling each other at the phone. It lasted one year and half, more or less. I though I was in love, but now I understand it was only a strong friendship.

Yes, it was pretty far, but it was also convenient in some ways, since we couldn't meet during the week anyway because of my studies. After breaking up we didn't talk at all for a some years, but last year we met on facebook and now we share greetings for holydays and birthdays. We both have new partners and we don't wish to get in touch more than this, but it's nice to know that neither of us feel any grudge agaist the other part. :o)

I have never fall in love with an online friend and that is not my cup of tea. My friend who is my former colleague fall in love with a chat friend. They have met only once, but they often speak over phone chat using yahoo chat. After being in good friendship for more than three years, now they have decided to get married. The married will on April, next year.

Never... I have lots of friends online, and I need to meet with many people online and talk to them also, but I never fell in love with anyone. So there is no question of meeting.
