Does it deserve to be rewarded as 'Best Response'?? I know, I know... It's pathetic! I have searched for any related topics in the discussions box before I start this one, but I could not find the answers. So, please share your thoughts as some of my unresolved discussions are getting staled!

hello corry^^;; well if that 1 response you received answered your question or it really correspond with the topic with a good explanation and it satisfies your query then i think you can give the best response. But even if there are too many responses if none of them contains what you are waiting for an answer or explanation then you don't have to choose the best response too. It depends whether you are satisfied to their answer or not. happy lotting

Hi, Lucky! You have a good point. Thanks! I received only one response in one of my discussions, and I am quite satisfied with the answer. By the way, I love your avatar, cute!

I know someone whom we used to call 'Panda', my ex-GM! Anyway, I often go back and give ratings as well, and I think that was another better idea, just rate as positive seems sufficient. Thanks, Lucky Panda!

Lol, I don't usually choose a best response if there has only been one comment to a discussion. It can't be the best because it's nothing else to compete against!!

Hi corry, Nice question. I had gone through the same situation and I have given the BR to the only person because I should appreciate the person who spends time for me. This is the case when I was a newbie and right now with the help of my dear friends and other respected mylotters I am getting more than one response all the time. (Later I got more number of responses but when selected the BR it was only one). I got br too from single response and I curiously checked who given the Br and find out that I am the only one responder. I felt my response was qualified enough to get a br then also I felt sad, only mine was there. What will you do if you are in the same position? Just asked, please give an imaginary reply.

Hi dear, I do not resolve the discussion easily, I may give enough time and one of my discussion got the second response after two years (lol). When I got the BR from single response, the discussion was four weeks old and the starter was really wished to get a single response. So the person expressed the happiness by awarding the br to me Thanks and have a great weekend.

Two years were such a long time! But it's worth waiting heheheee... Yeah, I guess I won't resolve the discussions with only 1 response until there is another response... Oh, I think the starter was really hoping to resolve the discussion, so, as soon as someone responded, s/he marked it as the Best Response and you're happened to be the lucky person who made his/her day.

Hi, Sree! Like what I mentioned above, if I am quite satisfied with the response, I think I will mark it as the Best Response, but I also think that I won't resolve the discussion first and hope to get more responses. At least the person who'll get the BR won't feel bad or sad like you since s/he gets a BR because it's the only response, but if I still do it, I will definitely make a comment about the response and tell the respondent that s/he really deserves it.

Perhaps you can add me as a friend and message me if you need one more answer. We can help each other. But I don't know if it is permitted.

i think if we only get one response, i never mark the response as the best. because it can not be compared to another response so why we must mark as best response. thanks

I understand, but what if the response does answer to every doubt you have? Would you mark it as the best response then??

I guess I would just wait a week and then if I can remove that thread, or just don't look at it again. I don't know.

hi marrie^^; the best response that corry is talking about is you can see beside the name of every respondent on your started discussions. you award the best response to someone whom you think has the best answer or explanation. If not, you can also give (+) or (-) ratings. please try to read FAQ's so you can understand more about how mylot works. happy lotting
