My Window Task Manager cannot be activated by pressing CTRL ALT DELETE, instead an error message will pop up with this text "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator". This function is very important since I can be able to close any stalled applications in my PC. I am not connected with any LAN since this is the only PC in the house. Some friends told me my PC is infected with a virus and others said a problem with the registry. I don't know how to do things with regards to this. I need all your technical help to address this problem.. Thank you. KID221

If you cannot access the task manager, but you are actually using administraotr Account then that means you were attack by virus. First of all you must remove the virus. Try updating your antivirus and then scan again. To activate the task manager you need to change your registry. If you want to fix the registry and restoring your task manager, try googling with key task manager registry restore, you will found much answerr from that.

Thanks Lord for the suggestion. My antivir is updated and I had scanned my PC but no virus detected. I will try to tinker with my registry and that might fix the problem.

Goto run-gpedit.msc-user configuration-administrative templates-sytem-cntr+alt+del options. open rmove task manager-set the option to disabled. That temporarily solves the problem. This is very basic virus activity. Scan your your computer with an updated antivirus. Manu
