The corruption is at its peak in India. See this story of a corrupt official of the Excise Department in Karnataka. Recently the anti corruption cell raided half dozen officials and found crores of ruppees worth property which disproportioante to their known source of Income. I myself have seen many corrupts in the Government Departments. They wont work without bribes.
