Hi friends this is something I should know because I will be going to join in my big job of my life in one month so How did you people feel on the first day of your work when that job is your dream job. If you felt nervous how did you overcome it? What are your feelings and how did the first day go?

hello madugulagopi, first of all i would like to congratulate for your job. well, for as long as i can remember, i think i was so excited and nervous at the same time. excited for after four years of studying, finally i have a job and that i can have my own salary and money that i can share to my family. nervous but not that much since i'll be working with some of my friends who also my classmates in college. just like me, they were also nervous but we promised to each other that we will help one another incase we need each other's help.

Thats very great and that is also something thats is filling me with some confidence because I also have some of my friends placed in the same company and my luck is that my roommate in college is also going to be my colleague. So if I get into trouble I can rely on them for some help and thats giving me more confidence.

Hey Congrats.. Getting your dream job is really hard but you have got it, so no worries ar all. Ist day of a job is you feel very nervous, When I was on my first job I did not eat for a week in those 9hrs coz I did'nt knew anyone except the managers and the trainers with whom I cannot go for a break. Then slowly I went on making friends. So all the best for your future

Making friends is the best way of avoiding the nervousness and I am lucky because my room mate in my college is also in the same company. SO I have someone to share my feelings. Thanks for the response

That is good. You are right if the boss and our colleagues are fine then we can easily cope up with the surroundings the problem comes only when there is any change. Thanks for your response.

It's natural to be nervous on your first day at a new job, and especially if it's your dream job, which makes it even more important to you. My suggestion is that you get up extra early so that you don't have to rush and you have some time to relax before you report for work. Take a notepad with you so that you can jot down important information because there will be a lot for you to remember. Don't be afraid to ask questions...it's normal to have them. Be friendly and smile a lot...this will help to put others at ease with you and allow them to help make you more at ease with them. Good luck and congratulations!

When I entered the office the first day I was really nervous because I knew only the chairman and the latter was not yet in the office and then everyone was looking at me from time to time. I was indeed nervous though and today after one and a half year I am leaving the job today in the hope to find a much better one also.

The one thing I really want to avoid is the stares of people when we walk. The people at the office looks at us like we are some aliens from mars. That makes me more nervous. I don't know why they look like that.. Hope that I have less time for such types of stares

I felt nervous on the first day I go to work. I tried to remember everybody's name in the office. It always takes me some time to adjust to a new working environment. I love China

I had experienced first day in office many times which means I had jobs after one job. The first time I worked in an office I was alright because I knew most people in the office. The second time I worked in another office I was not nervous because I already volunteered with them although I had my own table now. The third time I worked in an office I was handed down lots of reading materials and the problems encountered for me to help resolve. But I just said that on my first day I have to set up my "office" which means I have to do some things with my office table and re-arrange some furniture, etc. And had to meet and get to know the other staff. Well, the boss kinda said okay take your time.

hi there, Firstly, congratulations on that dream job. The first day always brings with it, a mixed bag of emotions. I felt excited, nervous, alert- all at the same time. See to it that you are well rested the night before the big day. Wake up early and do whatever helps you relax. Report to work slightly earlier than you should, and keep a notepad to take notes. If you have any questions, ask your seniors. Go ahead introducing yourself to a few people and don't feel shy. When you introduce yourself, you can then approach them later, if you have any issues or questions. God bless and Good luck.

Hi,madugula,I was filtered from 57 members after exam, group discussion along with marks.Apart from me there are total 5 members selected after 3 days continuous scrutiny AND ALL WE SELECTED AS MARKETING OFFICERS IN NAGARJUNA FERTILIZERS IN 1988.As we all interacted with office staff and co-members we had some relax feeling. After that we asked to report to our headquarters and i joined at Srikakulam. As there are no other office members,as i stay myself only there is no nervous feeling.Have a nice day and happy dasara.

hi, i remembered that i was so nervous when i came to this job in the first day. but it is not my dream job. i thought that i would be successful in my job and i could learn much at this position,hahaha... i could not get to sleep the night before i came to work. and you do not need to overcome your nervousness, it would disappear in the next few days.
