hey friends. as the computer came into our lives, we seem to be involved with it. it is so important to us nowadays. it is becoming a friend of us. someone even can not work normally without computer. but imagine that a place that everything is good, such as you have enough to eat, a lot of good friends around you, but there is no computer. will you live in such a place?

Its so hard to live without a computer. Maybe I can live without it if I am very rich. Computer is my number one source of income. I can do all my jobs / works in a computer. This also serves me as my recreational activities like watching , surfing and even playing games. Computer is almost attached to everything. That is why it is hard to live in a place without a computer

hi buping^^;; i would love too! I always wanted to run aways from this computer age where in i need to face the computer all day long. I must admit, i'm quite bored nowadays with the same routine. I know i can meet good friends online around the world and make money too but why do i need it, there's enough food in that place with friends whom i can see their flesh and bones and not virtual ones. I have tried to be away and didn't touch my laptop when i went for a 10 days vacation and it's really relaxing. Enjoy life and happy lotting my friend

hey buping! Well that is a very interesting question... Honestly, I do not know how to live without a computer! Even if I am not at home, or if I don't have my lap top with me.. I always have my Iphone which is just like a computer! When I am out and about I even do most of mylotting from it! So... I would give it a shot if I had to! But if I had a chose... No.. I couldn't see myself without! Weird isn't it?

Hello buping! I still can live in a place that there is no computer. As long as the place is beautiful, very peaceful and relaxing. there are foods, shelter, clothes and other things I need in life, like family and friends. If this place is like a paradise, then I won't be needing the computer. I would to live in that kind of place. Have fun posting!

Yes! indeed. But, life without Internet connection at home is really bugging. As I have shifted my house, the cable provider is yet to change the connection to my new house. I have been calling them around 6 to 7 times per day for the past couple of days but no response! Every time I call they say now and that now has never come yet. Everything is charged at premium but still this is the kind of service people get in the so-called silicon valley of India. I don't understand why is that they can't just send a guy to provide a cable line from the nearby supply cable? It won’t even take half-an-hour to fix the line. But I have no option other than to wait. Now to talk about how it feels like to be without the Internet, it is really as if one is handicapped. You can't get any information fast, no way to blog and read others blog, no information on what is the latest news in one's particular field of interest, not able to meet online friends and so on. Maybe this is not the case for everybody but it is for the people who live in this virtual world and who are used to get all the benefits from the Internet. More and more people are starting to live this life on the Internet, blogging, surfing, chatting, gaming and so on. Sitting and blogging late at night will surely have its implications on ones health at a later point of time, if not now. Do you sit late night to blog? Do you blog because it's your hobby or are you addicted to it? Well, some may say that they are trying to earn some extra bucks through their website, but is it really worth it? I guess this would be based on the personal level and we can't generalise this case. But still one ought to take this into consideration as to avoid being awake into the wee hours of morning.

if there is everything that i need like basic necessities and lots of good friends, i can't think of any reason why a person will not live in that kind of place.

Hmmm thats difficult. Id like to think i could. I love my laptop, i spend so much time on it. And there is a lot of people i only talk to online, so i couldnt speak to them without a pc. And there is website i visit like Mylot that i wouldnt be able to use anymore! It sounds horrific... But i like the idea of living with out one. Id like to try it for a week or so! If i truely was with loads of good friends where i had enough to eat and lots of things to do and places to see then i dont think i would even stop to think about my laptop! All the good friends would keep me happy! So i think i could just about manage it! Might miss it too much long term though! Can you imagine a world with absolutly no technology whats so ever?! Not tv, no phones, no internet!

hi, thanks for sharing your thought with us. i think you would have a lot of friends and you like to talk with your friends, am i right? and i would be in your situation that i would miss my laptop so much if i can not be on internet for a long time. long long ago, there is no technology such as phones and tv, they lived very well, even more healthy. but it is different now, so we can not live without these.:)

I could live there for awhile. Why not? plenty to eat in the company of good friends. I am sure I will manage fine for a few months without touching a computer. I see it more as a vacation without a computer. This would actually be a good thing because I am so hooked to my online activities that I forget to make a face-to-face interaction with friends. Even during family holidays, I would sneak in search of an a computer with and internet connection to check my emails. However, it can happen that after a few months of being togetherm,we would get on each other's nerves, then they move on while I go back to my computer to get in touch with the world.

Before the computer comes into my life, I live normally. Everything goes smoothly and I am confident doing my task daily. But now, when I learned to used computer, I cannot live without computer in a day. I never sleep without touching my keyboard and reading my e-mails and chatting to my friends. I cannot take a place without computer access for a long time. It is now a part of my daily living.

hi mods. computer actually helps us a lot. even when i do not know what i should eat for my supper i would be online for advice. so it really plays a vital role in our life. but i can live normally without computer on weekends. because i have so much other things to do. by the way, sitting long time before laptop pains your eyes, i think you would do some eye excercise.

The computer to me is a very useful tool but its not my friend, though U can make good friends with it. I would say yes. I mean if I didnt need a computer I would definetly be in a utopia like that. What I use my computer for is mostly work purposes and for some hobbies, but its not something that Im addicted to. I think its fine to take a break from computers for a while and then get back at it, like a vacation, you never know when something will become something stressful to you. Hehehehe Happy Mylotting

I like to live in such a place.Or I prefer to like in that place. Now I stay with computer everyday. My job is to use computer to design something.I spend almost 9 or more time on computer.I feel tired after sitting before computer for a day.But I have to do like that.If there was really some place without computer and with everything necessary,it would be great. But that is just a thought. And I still have to face my computer.

If i have enough to eat, a lot of good friends around me add a room full of books, i will certainly enjoy living in that place even without computers. I believe that computers are important, they are tools which help us greatly in our work, in connecting with others and in gaining knowledge. Living without a computer may be hard but i think i will welcome that thought i have painted above ^_^ The more hours we are tied up in front of our computers the less the other things get done. I think there are plenty of other things to do without the aid of a computer.
