Survivor

For me survival is being in a situation where you do not have access to the emergency network. Meaning, if something happens you can't call an ambulance to come pick you up. For instance, being stranded on a deserted island is survival unless you can easily call someone to come pick you up. The one thing I would bring along with me for survival would probably be a good knife with a hard handle. You can do just about anything with a good knife from cutting materials to catching food. Other than the knife it would be a satelite phone =]
