A research says 30% of the women above 40 years in my place lacks iron and calcium. I have deficiency of Vitamin B and I take tablet for it. I also have a lot of guava which has vitamin B. I also make sure to have spinach which is good in iron. Do you have vitamin tablets or iron tonics once in a while?

Hi, As you said i rely only upon vegetables and fruits and meat.. I don't go or opt for iron or calcium or vitamins in form of tablets or syrups. When there is enormous amount of these things available naturally then why should we go for the artificial ones.

I also feel that it is better to get vitamins, iron, and calcium from the food we eat. We don't need to take it supplementary. We need to make sure that we are having proper diet so that we can avoid deficency of them. I don't really like spinach, but now I started having it because it is good in iron. Thanks for the response.

Spinach is like if you don't like it also you continue having that because it not only contain iron, but increase your metabolism and have nice fiber in it which helps to pass out waste fully and cuts cholesterol and helps to cut flab.

What do you mean by nursing mom? Do you mean that you are feeding your kid? I have heard that mothers who feed their kids really need to have lots of good food and vitamis. Do you also make sure to have food that are rich in vitamins and minerals? Thanks for the response. Happy mylotting.

I used to take vitamin supplements like vitamin C and iron tablets whenever I have my monthly periods. But now I have stopped taking them, just cuting the budget in these difficult times. But i eat more fresh vegetables and frutis and sweat out more. But I think I need to take vitamin tablets when I reach forty. LOL

These days diet is becoming all modernized.we have all sorts of junk food and all and we lack vitamins and minerals in them.Best way to keep our ratios of vitamins and minerals in our body is to eat good vegetables and fruits. If we have deficiency in any vitamin or mineral eat the vegetables or fruits which are rich in that particular vitamins etc especially calcium is most important for women above 40 years they must drink milk rather than coffee or tea. Taking deficient elements via tables is also good at times when it is urgency for the deficiency but those tables have also got little bit of side effects so these days be wise enough while selecting a proper diet.
