Why December 21, 2012??

what still bothers me I know that the mayan calander and couple other things point to december 21, 2012 as beening dooms day, but what most like might happen is a speicle space an speicle space event. What is though interesting is that couple races pointed to that date.

ok, i sufferd alot of controversy at work over this, first i shouldnt have bought up the fact that i thought his predictions were all true, cause i got shutdown!, and one things for sure, the future can always change, thats probably why twin towers went down i dont know what to think anymore, so i just become a pacifististic atheist, who only belives in what i see and experience, science is the way and always has been, we wouldnt be talking right now if otherwise. and who knows about his quatrains? they could have always been misinterpreted! have you ever seen one of them? bizzare! so to conclude to this useless drivvle, i wouldnt have a clue! but i bet some one down there does!! :)

Even though there is a lot of talk about 2012, and what will happen, what can we do about it. God created, and He will destroy. Read Matthew 24, all the signs of what is going and what will happen, No greater prophet than the LORD himself. popciclecold

I have many things related to 2012 and the doomsday scenario but I don't believe a thing. December 21 is my girl friend's birthday. And if someone tells me that a century old prediction says that the world is going to end on 2012, I am not going to believe that. Nostradamus made assumptions based on the events that were happening when he was alive. Things are different now.

Neha, First of all I haven't seen the movie to make a prediction or offer a solution to your question, but what prompted me to contribute to this topic is the fact that a lot of is prediction haven't come true either. I wouldn't read too much into what happened to the twin towers, except the fact that it was a prime target for the terrorists to hit with least effort, and that's why it was targeted. He predicted that Rome, the house of christianity would be decimated by a leader who would rise from the ashes of central asia. This didn't happen and is not likely to be so, considering that there is no animosity between Italy and the Arab world. I would rather say that whatever happened was coincidental.

hi friend..i personally disagree about the prophecy and i absolutely do not believe every single statement about 2012. Nostradamus was not God, nor the Mayans. if it is God's will to end the day tomorrow, and it will be. so, i can't answer your question...

Yes, there is a big bugaboo among the prophets of various cultures that 'something' is going to happen on December 21, 2012. One fact is that we will be going through some kinda alignment with the center of our galaxy and that will play hob with our weather or something. * What will probably NOT happen is we will not all suddenly die in a big kaboom. * There is just, not just, but there will be some kind of change. Change is very hard to take for humans. Note very small children, they often have tantrums when parents inflict change like "Suzy, it is time for bed, playtime is over,". I predict something like that, as do, I believe, most of the prophets.

Nothing much will happen other than what has been happening for millions of years. those whose time has come will die as usually it is happening 24/7. This has come from Mayan calander. This is supposed to be a celestial event. There will be some changes which we may not be able to wintess but its effects will be seen gradually in later times. Nothing catastrophic will happen, that is certain. It has been happening every 24,000 or 26,000 years and nothing new in it. and this is a minor cycle in a bigger cycle of celestial events happening.

Hi There, I too was surprised by the date 21 dec 2012. I have also got many emails regarding the end of world. It is projected as if everything will go of in a seconds. Are all these rumours or is this real.

Why do you want to know what's going to happen in 2012? Why not just live for today, you know 2012 is a long way off. Who knows if this is what's going to happen? Maybe we will live or maybe we will die, but that's not in our hands. So instead of worrying about the future live for today.

hello Kanukrisha, I have No idea why but that's what the Mayan Calendar says, but in my case i really don't believe in this End of the World Prophecies. It could happen because of our disregard for nature and now were experienced Global Warming that could only in destroying us in the future.

Hi: 2012 as the year of "the end of the world" it's not a scientif fact but an speculation subject. Everytime something happends in the world there's someone that says that Nostradamus has predicted that. In my oppinion this is just ****
