I had given my wife a small golden locket of Ganesha, our beloved Elephant headed god who personifies wealth and financial stability.It is still a treasured possession of hers 16 years later.

I bought her a nice dress of her choice and took her out to dinner.I asked her to invite close friends of hers and we went to a nice restaurant for dinner.The evening was great except for an idiot who was her friend's relative who made a spectacle of himself.

On my husband's birthday after our wedding I gave him two cookbooks that he wanted, a Russian one, and a Turkish one. I also took him out for lunch, and then we had a nice dinner at home of stuff that I'd picked up at our favourite organic groccery store.
