The first "ber" month had already past, and its now the second of the 4 "ber" months of Christmas. You can now hear Christmas songs played over the radio and some Christmas stuffs on shopping malls. With this things and all other things related to Christmas, do you think you already feel the Christmas spirit?

No not at all. I usually don't start feeling the Christmas spirit until the day after Thanksgiving. Right now I am in the Halloween spirit. Actually not really yet, but I will be in a week or so. Then I have Thanksgiving to deal with. I do all the cooking for Thanksgiving so that is a big event to me so I can not really think about Christmas until that is done. Plus we put up our tree and our lights up on the day after Thanksgiving. Then we play Christmas music as we are doing it, that is the day I usually start getting a bit of the Christmas spirit. Mostly most of December I am worried about getting gifts, and getting everything wrapped and worried about spending money. I try to get in to the spirit, but mostly it is about making things special for my kids.

I really love Christmas for what is supposed to mean the season of giving and goodwill toward men. Not so much for the presents that we inevitably get from our friends and family. However, I have to admit that when we went to K-Mart last week to get my husband a new pair of tennis shoes, I think it was taking things just a little bit too far when there was a huge Christmas display already up. For some reason that really yanked my chain the wrong way. And this coming from a woman who started her 2009 Christmas shopping on December 26, 2008 so I could save money.
