Have you ever been to a mosh pit at a concert?

I have been to a concert but never got involved with the mosh pit. Being in the mosh pit is way to dangerous and alot of people get hurt or pretty banged up. I don't see what the point of a mosh pit . I mean you are getting hurt while tring to enjoy a concert. That is not what I call fun. I don't even see how you can concider it enjoyable. I know when I go to a concert I want to come out bruise free and no headaches.

As a teenager I was often in the mosh pit with my friends. I used to come home very bruised. What was I thinking?!

I've been to a lot of concerts, like hardcore/metal-ish concerts, but I've never gone into the mosh pit. I agree that it can be really dangerous. I think people do it, to release angry energy and fulfill some primal urge, like in Fight Club. xD
