I have a lesbian friend who always get her haircut done at the Barber Shop. We always tease her that she is still a girl and she should have her haircut done at the hair salon. She always have a short hair, that's why she prefer going at the barber shop. How bout you, where do you get your haircut done? Barber Shop or Salon?

Hi stephon! Believe it or not I cut my own hair!LOL. True. I like doing styles with my hair and I've been doing it for five years now. I also go to the salons if I feel like going but I prefer doing my own hair cut. I also dye my hair and do some hair treatments. Happy mylotting! :)

I used to cut my hair also but it is not advisable for a guy like me. Maybe for a girl its ok, especially if you just gonna trimmed it. But for a guy it is so hard to cut their own hair. You need 3 mirrors one on the front, the side and the back. Plus you end up looking like a fool...LOL Thanks danitykane, U2...happy mylotting!

I remember the first time i try to cut my own hair. It is way back in high school, i get my little sister's school scissor and starts cutting my bangs. It was horrible...my hair looks funny so i end up going to a barber shop. The people there won't stop laughing, even my own barber makes fun of me. That's when i realized that it is not good to cut your own hair.

I get my hair done at a salon which is unisex. I have always gone to a salon and most have been unisex. Maybe only once or twice have I gone to a salon that is only for females. I believe a Barber Shop is just for men not even lesbians but then I really wouldn't know that. I just know I have never seen a female get a haircut at a barber shop. I use to live 5 houses from a barber shop and never saw females walking in.

I know!!! Barber shop supposed to be for men. I think she is the only girl i know who goes to a barber shop for a haircut. She always wanna look like a man from the way she dress and even the way she act. I think she never had her hair for a treatment. When you go to a salon, do you get a hair treatment?

No I have baby fine hair and don't need a hair treatment. I only go for a haircut I don't even let them wash my hair. I have to wash my hair everyday to go out because I wake up with bed hair. So I wouldn't wash my hair twice in a day.

I use a salon use to go to the chain places that offer cheap hair cuts. But have since switched to a full scale salon.I feel the products and quality of hair dressers is much better.I would never turn back at this point..My hair has not been so soft since childhood.

I agree, the products and services are way better compared to a cheap chain salon. They have well trained stylists and the products they use are well researched. That's why they charged their client more, it's expensive but it is worth it.

I'm a guy and have always gone to chains such as Great Clips or something. But last time I went to some little hole in the wall barber shop, and it was way cheaper, the lady was super nice, and the haircut was as good as usual.

Congrats to you... i've never been in a barber shop that meets my standards. It's always been a bad experienced for me, stinky barber, filthy chairs, unsanitary tools...i'd rather pay more if the services is right.
