Any Tips for Using Paypal Earnings?

Buy - To buy or not to buy.. That is the question. :D

I was just thinking how to use my earnings with paypal on buying items online. I realized that i will just use my earnings by buying items instead of purchasing a debit card. Will this be a great idea? Since purchasing a card is more time consuming and expensive. I really need tips for this since i am about to try it. What are your experiences? Is it safe to purchase online? Have you tried it? Is there any additional interests? How many days does it take the shipment? Please share your views and recommend some sites that i can shop on. *Filipino experiences are highly appreciated*

hi dear... an advice here... shopping online is convenient alright..but they tend to be more expensive than when you get them on the department store... i have tried buying stuff from online... and sometimes when they get to me i realize it's not what really as it looks in the photo... if it's something you wanna wear, it might not fit well.. why not jusg move your money to your bank and buy stuff in the mall or department store...? it will save you lots of money and allow you to choose what's best for you.

Yes, it is good not to buy so many things online. I usually buy personalized things online which you can't buy from a store. Things like a set of glasses with my name on it, a cup to gift to my friend with her picutre on it, etc. I also found that things online are much expensive compared to buying from a store. I also found some electric goods are cheaper online. Never buy shoes, clothes, etc. online. They may not fit you. Til now, I bought online personliazed gifts and I don't have any bad experiences.

Thanks for the tip patofgold. Since i am not really sure of purchasing a debit card, i was kind of intrigued by online shopping. I am not really knowledgeable when it comes to debit cards and how they work so i was thinking for other things to spend my money on. Besides, i am still single. So i don't have to think of children yet., just family.

Yes I use my PayPal earnings to buy things with often. I found that it is very safe to purchase items online.. at least I have not had a problem with it as of yet. But I also have very often taken my earnings and transferred them from my PayPal to my bank account to help me pay for bills when I was short on funds.. I have done this a quite a few occasions.. having extra funds somewhere can be a real life saver sometime. As for shipping, it depends on where you purchase your goods.. some place can deliver in a very short amount of time. Some can take a couple of weeks or more. It really all depends on the product and the company from which you purchase. You can always investigate that by checking it on on the company website prior to making your purchase. Good luck.

Hi dear! I have not purchased anything on-line either using my paypal account or otherwise. I feel apprehensive about the quality and stuff, while buying something on-line. My advice would be that you should withdraw the mone (if it is possible) and then go to market to purchase the stuff and things of your choice. All the best.

Hi and How are you? I hope your doing well. Here is a link that I have found that lists sites that are paypal friendly. http://www.ppaccepted.com/ Most sites have a security lock at the bottom if they are secure or will have something on there site saying they are secure. One responder mentioned higher shipping and handling and of course the fact the item could be broken, this is very true indeed so please make sure that it's not something you could buy in the department store!

hello koala, What's wrong? having trouble getting a debit card? well, probably you don't need to save and earn your money in the earnings. well, ebay is a good place for purchasing goods there but i haven't been there for a while. i never experienced buying in ebay even though i kept looking there but i tried to sell something but unfortunately i was asked for them to access my card which i didn't allow...

No.. I was talking about the ebay thing you told me. That really is a nice decision. Anyway, i would like to ask if there is a big chance that my earnings from paypal would just disappear since i still cannot decide yet how to use it. Will i still see it after a year or there is an expiration? Hope you could answer my query.

Hello LK. And yes! i do have troubles purchasing a debit card. I have so many questions regarding that card and unfortunately, no one can answer those queries. Well your experience sounded like a scam and it's a good thing you did not give away your card. That's a very smart choice.

I suggest for you to go to your local bank and get your Paypal verified. It may be time consuming and expensive but you will see it's benefits in the long run. It's more satisfying shopping for things that you can test or fit before purchasing.

Thanks for the information hexeduser! By the way, do you have your own debit card? How much does it cost? Patofgold up there told me you can purchase an eon card for as low as 50 pesos and i would definitely prefer that from the 350 debit card from unionbank. Any ideas? What type of card do you use then?

Well, paypal is safe when purchasing online products, but i'll rather stick to the old fashion way where i can see the product and test it before i will bring it at home. I think many online shopping center today, are accessible to paypal payment.. Well, just try it..there's no harm in trying as they say..

Well, I'm not a Filipino. However, I'm from Asia too, and just like to share some experiences and information on this. Basically, for paypal earnings, you can use it to spend at ebay or stores that accept paypal payments. For ebay, you just have to look around for things that interest you, and check if the person accepts paypal payment. There are also lots of online stores accepting paypal payments as well. I have had an experience of using paypal at an online store. I must say that it's very fast, and the items are delivered to me within the stipulated timings specified. I do think it's quite safe to shop online as long as you go to those "reputable" online stores. As for recommendations, you can try ebay, as some items are cheaper over there. However, do look out for the seller's credibility (check for the stars) and the remarks other buyers had made. Hope you have fun shopping online...

Dear koalapenguin, Glad to hear from you and this is a very practical topic. I personally also looking for alternative and choices on 'earnings at paypal'. I was thinking of transfering the money to my bank account. Unfortunately Malaysia do not have paypal account. I need to get a debit card and do transfer as advised by one of my Malaysian myLotter. I always like to remember this as my guide : CASH IS KING!, with the cash in hand, then you can decide what to do... Cheers!

Dear Koalapenguin, I hope you will have perseverence during this training period. Take it as a learning process and it is good to learn.. Hope you will qualified and be an employee there. By the way, all I know is we need to transfer the earnings from myLot to our paypal. It is advisable to accumulate to a certain amount before withdraw as the withdrawal tansaction fees is about USD5 (in Malaysia). According to another myLotter friend, she always keep it about RM500 before withdrawing it. She said do not keep too much in paypal account. (USD 1 = RM3.5) Yes, I agreed with you that those items online are far more adorable and unique. A lot of my bloggers friends used to shop online. However, if you like something online, go ahead and reward yourself. You deserve a good reward for all your works done online. All the best and take care !

Hello Iriene. I am also glad to hear from you! I have been busy with my training these past few days so i was not able to keep in touch. Anyway, there will still be eliminations so i hope i still get accepted. *cross fingers* Out of the 16 trainees, one of us had already quit and i hope we will stay strong til the end. Anyway, that really is a nice advice. Though, i can't help but to think the time that could be wasted just to wait for the card. And sometimes, there are a lot more unique products online being sold than those in the department stores. So i am trying to think what way is better. But i am really considering transferring money to the bank. I hope you would too. Oh! before i forgot, do you know if there will be a chance for our earnings to get expired? Since i still don't know how will i use it. Hope you could provide me some answer.

Hello Iriene. Sad to say i failed the second phase of training. But i have moved on now. I am not so sure about what you said with $1= 3.5 RM. But what i read in our country is not to exceed our earnings up to $500 cause we will pay for every exceeding amount. I am so far from it so it doesn't bug me that much. I am really loving shopping online but what i am afraid that it might become a scam. So i still don't move my money on my paypal account.

It is best to earn online and pile it up on paypal. After a year or two you can directly transfer the money to your bank account if you have paypal in your country. It also requires an credit or debit card.

It is also a good idea but I have tried shopping online and the item doesn't meet my satisfaction but there are some which is really good. I have been shopping online for almost a year and it is being ship to your address in a maximum of 3 days. But first, try to scan the seller feedback if it's really accountable for your item purchase.

As long as you use your paypal account, it is always safe to shop online, but you also have to see the user feedback, such as ebay. Always make sure that the seller that you are going to purchase the products from have a positive feedback, that way you can be sure that your purchases will be delivered safely. And, don't purchase anything that does not accept paypal as their payment method. Paypal is the safest and best way to purchase money online.

Hello amaine. Thanks for the info. After making this discussion, now i guess i am able to see who are legitimate when it comes to selling products online. A lot of the members here really recommends reading the feed backs before making a transaction. So that would be the initial step that i would likely take when i would purchase something. Thanks for responding.

i use all my paypal earnings for shopping on line.. depends on where you go and what you spend that will determine if it is more exspensive.. I generally use all my earning this time of the year for christmas shopping. i go to online stores that offer discounts or deals on shipping like spend $25 and get free shipping! Etc etc.. Or to even get a better deal i search through ebay and see if they have anything that i can use or buy as a gift and i nearly always get an awesome deal and on there you can control what amount you want to pay for something and you can pay using your paypal! good luck and SPEND WISELY

A lot of people have been suggesting to use it for online purchase. I do know that Paypal is a safe site because my friend worked there before. But I would still prefer seeing the product than buying them online. I still have kept the money I had saved on my paypal account. I would only withdraw them if there is really a need for it.

Hi koala, I did use my visa card for purchasing online of a herbal tea but it wasn't a good idea. The goods has been delivered in two weeks time as agreed and the amount due was debited on the same day the shipment was done. To my surprise another amount has been debited as payment for a subscription of a magazine by an affiliate company where I bought the tea of which I haven't made any transaction. Their explaination is automatically I have to subscribe to the magazine upon placing my order with the herbal tea. The worst is I didn't receive the magazine, I tried to contact them online to retrieved the amount but it seemed useless despite of several attempts. They did answer me back saying that they'll send the refund but of no avail. From that time on I promised myself not to use my card to via online shopping. Good Day!

Hello seanbryan. Really? That really is a horrible experience. I think it would be helpful for us to read some of the user's feed backs to avoid these kind of mistakes. What do you think? Anyway, it would really be wiser to save it on our bank accounts and see the real product by ourselves, right? So good luck to whatever utilization you will do with your paypal account. Just be careful on online transactions.

I would say ebay is definately the best way to go when spending your paypal earnings :) i'v used ebay to buy and sell things for years now and its unbeatable. you can buy pretty much everything you can think of for a really good price. It's simple to use with paypal as this is the payment method most sellers accept on ebay, and as soon as you win a bid on ebay you can pay them immediately through paypal :). its perfectly safe, just make sure the seller that you are buying off has a fairly decent feedback percentage. If you dont have a credit card or anything to transfer funds too from paypal then its a great idea, just think of the things you would usually buy in the shops that you could use your paypal earnings on online instead :) good way to save a few pennys! hope this helps.
