Are the words spoken by the devil in the Bible still the word of God?

I would say no at first - I mean the words of the devil would be the words of the devil but God included them in the bible for a reason - God's Word showing us what to watch out for, not to believe the words of the devil, not to listen to the words of the devil, not to be taken in. God wants good for His children and my view is the bible was given for us to learn and know the truth of God's love for all of us.

As you quoted in your response to Learn2earn, ALL Scripture is the Word of God. The words spoken by the devil are merely a record of what he said, just as words of Adam or David or Isaiah - or Nebuchadnezzar or Pilate or Jezebel and others are a record of what they said. The devil did not record them. Every word of Scripture is God-breathed and for our instruction. The devil has tried to destroy it over the centuries, but it remains.

The bible is the compilation of God-inspired writings. As a whole the Bible is the word of God, meaning, God inspired the writers to write principally to give us instruction. The words of the devil are there also for our instruction; in this sense the words of the devil are included in the Bible which is, as a whole, the word of God.

Yes, the words of the devil are included - as in his conversation with Eve and his conversation in heaven with God in regards to Job. The point I make is that they are not written BY the devil, but by a third person, inspired by God. Therefore, it is ALL the Word of God.

Is being God-breathed or inspired by God the same as being the word of God; the words may be God-breathed or inspired by God, but would that make those words the word of God?

Besides the devil, there are a lot more words spoken by men quoted in the Bible. Does only considering the words spoken directly by the Lord Jesus as God's words make one a Red-Letter Christian?

The Bible is a written record of God's teachings for men. The contents are composed of several types for men to be able to understand. There are quotations from people, from a big fish and even from the devil himself that are included in the Bible. As a whole, the Scriptures are God's word to men.

I think they are not the word of God, but they are inspired by the Spirit of God to be included in the Bible so that we learn lesson by their inclusion. The same goes for others like "we shall steal" "let us steal" etc.

Your words remind me of Psa. 14:1 and 53:1, "The fool has said in his heart. There is no God." Does this mean these two verses are not God's word either?

I would say that the words spoken by the devil are the devil's words. The Bible is the knowledge that God wants us to know so that we can serve him appreciatively. All the Scriptures are beneficial for teaching us something, either positive or negative. Read it and enjoy and learn from it. 2 Timothy 3:15 (New International Version) 15and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
