The Bible teaches us the 10 Commandments God given to Moses. 1. "I am the lord, you God who brought you out of the Land of Egypt, from the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before Me." 2. "Do not make an image or any likeness of what is in the heavens above". 3. "Do not swear falsely by the name of the Lord." 4. "Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy." 5. Honor your father and your mother". 6. "Do not kill". 7. "Do not commit adultery". 8. "Do not steal". 9. "Do not bear false witness against your neighbor". 10. "Do not covet your neighbors wife". Now, here's a quick taught for all members, if we can summarize the 10 commandments in to a single command or sentence, what do you think is it? For me, it may be silly but here it is "Follow the 10 Commandments with all your heart."

Jesus put it rather nicely, I think: “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second is like it: ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments.” If you truly follow these two commandments and keep them close to your heart, you don't need any other. Much of the Old Testament (and some of the New) was written specifically for Jews and Jewish Christians. Most Christians today are non-Jews (Gentile) and, according to Paul, much of Jewish practice and Law does not and should not apply to Gentiles. Really, the above quotation is ALL that a Christian needs.

Yeah, I heard about it being a topic of one of the Bible session I've attended. The topic was "why practiced those laws or commandments that are not pertaining to you or they only specifically apply to certain groups of people". Nice knowing that you point out this two laws for us to ponder.

Well I would summarize ten commandments in one sentence thus, "Those who have common sense, they need not remember 10 commandments." All the laws given in 10 commandments were for those who lacked commonsense. After Jesus came, we have Holy Spirit to guide our conscience. Why do we need 10 commandments.
