How about this priceless one from a Welsh immigrant, and it's true. He thought that the name of the nearest town, Kalamta, was actually the word for good morningi in Greek, which as you know is Kalimera. I wouldn't mind but he's lived here for ten years. Looks a right prat saying that anywhere apart from at the bus stop.

My mum had a friend who lived in a town in Spain, and could not speak a word of spanish, the entire town was full of ex-pats! I was horrified!

I only hate people obviously talking about me in other languages! SAY IT TO MY FACE!!!!!!! I hate whisperers too they are the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When i lived in a foreign country i barely spoke english at all. But i love other langhuages and other cultures here in england, mostly, we get better food!

no what britains national dish is? chiken tikka masala. given how revolting yet dull our food is it is hardly surprising. (i come from the land of the deep fried marsbar btw.

Oh yes! I believe you also have a delicacy of the deep fried pizza?? or is that just a rumour? Also, I was scared you had not realised that my tongue was pressed firmly in my cheek when i wrote that above! But i do hate being talked about, but you cannot get aaway from other languages, specially not in this city! I just need to learn more of them!

no. in fact i have not met any..although there are supposed to be many Nepalese and Bangladeshis here but then they are mostly in border areas. however there are some who come from our western neighbor, with evil intent and that's annoying.
