As i all cases, Zhizho, there are exceptions. It gets disturbing when we find people hesitant for a change for the better, the tick to theitr old habits and refuse to change. Only persistnace and patience bring fruit in this case. You are doing a wonderful job. Only lst saturday I felt bad for this old guy I met in the bank. I had gone to the bank to deposit some money and as I was waiting for getting the account book updated, this guy comes over and asks me to fill up the form for depositing money to his account. He seemed very shy to ask me the favour. He doesnt know to read and write and I guessed the only thing he knew would be to do basic calculations because he is a cycle rickshaw puller. I felt so bad for him. I thought had he learned , he wouldnt have had asked me for this help. Also it is very easy to cheat such people beacuse people with wrong intension can deposit money to their account!!!

Hi Malpoa. Thanks for responding.I can't understand about people who does not want to learn.Maybe when they were children, they has no chance but now, there is chance and it's free, they still would not like to learn. They does not conscious that there are many loss if they have no knowledge.

I havent come acroos such people. I come from a state where the records boast of 100% literacy. The truth is they count heads who know how to sign their own signatures. They arent educated nor they know how to read and write. But i have see many people who didnt get the chance tostudy and are eager to read newspapers and know the world news...Also the education level was much better in my grandmother's age...They were married off at a very early stage so after marriage, studies were never an option. My paternal grandmother studied only till class four but she was fluent in reading english and she used to read out poems and rhymes to me.
