Do you get enough sunlight everyday?

We get lots of warnings that urge us to protect ourselves from the sun. And to stay indoors as much as possible. But it's important for us to get exposed to the sunlight for a about 10 minutes everyday in order to get Vitamin D as avoiding Vitamin D increases the risk of cancer and lung disease. But too much of exposure of sunlight would be harmful to our health, thus cause skin cancer disease. Do you get your self sitting on the sunlight for few minutes everyday?

These last days I didn't get enough sunlight. Especially when I have a lot of wet clothes to dry. It's really annoying because I can't get it dried. =) Well, I don't sit under the sunlight because I already walk every single day along with the sunlight. =) So, I think it's enough.

no, i don't take enough sunlight, some days i don't see the sun during the day, and i've a pale skin beacause i'm blond, so if i take sunlihgt it's impossible to say how much time i spent to take the sunlight, i've heard about vitamin D and it's link with the sun, but i think there are another way to get vitamin D in oure body.

Sunlight is the source of Vitamin D. Vitamin D is placed in food but sunlight is needed to make it usable and powerful in our body. We must get exposed to sunlight to get our Vitamin D from it. That's how Vitamin D works in our body. Maybe when there's sun you take time to sit down for a couple of minutes or play outside. Thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

Lately I have not been outdoors to have enough of the good sunlight. I have stayed indoors because it was always raining then after the rain for many days, I got sick. Then I don't have a job so I just stay much at home except for errands which I go out when it's not too hot like late in the afternoon. I guess I need to get out more often again because I don't like the feeling of being not out in the sun.

Yeah, if you have enough time it's good to sit on the sunlight even for a few minutes. Yeah it can be bad avoiding sunlight, but if it's really hot then it's not good to stay outside. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

No, I do not get 10 minutes of sunlight everyday but some days I might be out in the sunlight for and hour. I hope that is making up for not getting the 10 minutes everyday.

No I don't. I hate the sun. I love the night, lurking around in the dark. If the sun gets me, I burst into flames. No, kidding. Yeah, I guess I have more than enough sunlight everyday. I walk a lot.

Yeah, you must try or do since it's only for the benefit of your body. Sunlight is the only source of Vitamin D. Some people don't take importance of Vitamin D in our body, though it will not affect immediately but later in life we'll realized the importance of it. it seems very easy to expose to the sunlight just about 10 minutes everyday except for cloudy day or rain day. I don't like to stay at home all the day, I like to breathe fresh air from outdoor. if i am very busy or become ill and I can't go out for a walk, I also like to sit in my balcony for sunlight. this should be very good topics to share with us, I think everybody should know this common knowledge, and don't alway stay in the house...Get a walk out of your house, you will find it has a very beautiful day....lol...

hi careguardian yes when its sunny out I try to get outside'for 'awhile but lately its been all cloudy so spend more time' with lamps on to get the light I need to combat seasonal affective disease also known as SAD. I take vitamin d all the time because I do not always get out doors and I do need d and calcium so get both.

i have been getting out more as i found out i had a vitamin d deficiency. so i take supplements everyday now and get out side as much as i can for at least 15 minutes per day. my vitamin d level has increased significantly and my blood pressure has improved as a result. i will keep on doing this as vitamin d deficiency is the cause of many health issues.

yes,one especially children and old people should get enough sunlight to prevent the lack of vitD which may result in many kinds of disease,but many people can not go outside for enough sunlight due to their jobs or social whirl,and personally, i spend most of my time indoor too,reading,watching TV, surfing online or something else but except going outside^_^

It's a good idea. People need sun everyday to produce more nutrition the body need. But you should control the qunlity of the sun, too much also bad for body. Practice everyday under sun for 10 to 30 minutes is good.
