Yes, I really do believe that dogs are man's best friend. There's just something about them that is so comforting, friendly, warm. I feel that having a dog completes the family. It adds so much to the household and such. I first had a dog when I was thirteen, I am now 21, and I've had one ever since. I don't really see myself not having a dog.

That's so sweet tinsky. Understanding ur feelings by them , I think you are very much bounded to them. I don't have any pet but my neighbour has one dog. When ever I go to college , simply it comes to me starts jumping at. I think he wants to say good bye in its own language

Hi tinsky, You should not cry in front of your dog you are upsetting the dog doing that the dog can smell fear and that makes them uneasy A dog will show you love anyway your the owner. I beleave a dog is anyones best friend not just mans. All the best

yah i agree, because one time when i was sad, my dog came to me and sit in front of me trying to think and ask why im sad... when their owner is sad they will not play and wiggle their tail, it seems that they are listening and trying to feel what u are feeling, if i am happy, they jump and run and lick and like to roll over. dogs feel too...

Generally speaking, they most certainly are. There are exceptions, of course. Dogs generally want so to please you that they do indeed become your best friend. That's why I get so upset to see one abused or neglected. A good one will stay every day, just waiting for a little love, even if you ignore him for months. Very sad when owners don't appreciate what they have.

Dogs are truely Man's best friend. I am sure when you think about it, there will be several instances which would have proved this fact.

I'll agree with you that a dog can be a very faithful friend, and that some dogs can really communicate and share emotions with their owners. To some people, a dog might well be their best friend, but I would hope this is because the person is rather isolated. While I do not like to admit it, I'd also agree that some dogs are more faithful and trustworthy than some people. A man's best friend SHOULD however be a fellow human. A man's best friend should be his wife and a woman's best friend should be her husband. Other friendships should come after that. Certainly my husband is my best friend and has been for almost 50 years of marriage.

Yes I agree, dogs are man's best friend. Dogs are loyal, friendly, helpful and they listen to you when you talk. They will go anywhere with you and they treat you like you are a king! All things humans to do not provide in a friendship!

I think the dog should be the best friend in people's life.I prefer the dog than cat. That is so lovely, when they saw you going home by swaying their tail. In my memory, when I was in primary school,I had a dog and played with it,made my so pleaseant! That is unforgetable!

Yes, I do think dog is a man's best friend. They can be really helpful to you and notice when you are sad, mad or happy. I don't know if you can actually talk to a dog though. I like to play with my best friend's dog sometimes since my family is kinda allergic to dog and won't let me have one.

hi tinsky, i agree with the point that dogs are man's best friend. dogs are so clever, most of them know about what his master is thinking about. with a certain period of time training, the doggie knows about what he can do and what can not at home. it is also a partner to someone who live alone, it's more than a friend.

pet dogs can be said as frnds. and that too only a few.i dont think that dogs are mans best frnd.coz for one thing i do is hate dogs . they can be lured by anything . they may comfort u when u r sad and all but they will surely leave u if they see anything more nice than that. and as u said even if u had a cat or any other pet it would have created the same bonding as u now have with ur dog.

While dogs are quite smart they are not human. People seem to think they are a little human beings trapped in a furry body when in fact they are not. They have been bred over the centuries to accentuate certain attributes that the Wolf have in the wild. You and other human beings are just a substitute for the normal pack. Please understand I am not trying to discount the value of a loving pet, but remember Man is dog's best friend too as the owner has to feed and house, exercise and otherwise look after the dog including veterinary bills and care, so it is not just a one-way street.

Hi tinsky, you have started very good discussion. I think dogs are best friend to humans. I have dog in my home. It can do what i was telling. Most of the times it sleep with me only. It can understand our commands and it response to those commands. My dog was best friend to my family.
