Woman's bag - woman's bag with eyes! (lol)

I have a hand bag, it is a rather large one and in it I have...Stuff...A lot of stuff! It amuses my husband who says that if you look hard enough you may find an anchor in there or a kitchen sink perhaps. He has admitted that he is not likely to ever look inside my bag for fear of getting lost in there...Ha...Ha...Ha....Funny man! Sometimes when he is trying to get to my cell phone he complains that he can’t find it, if only he used clever girl’s eyes instead of boy’s eyes he would see it, sitting in the appropriate compartment! Do you think it is ever okay to delve into a woman’s handbag? Guys, would you do it? Ladies how do you feel about it?

women are sometimes too careful to make themselves tired. There are also many things in my handbag.Actually we seldom use some of them or they are not necessary. It's not worth to carry them for use only once during the whole day.At last, i hate my man delve into my handbag. It seems he don't believe in me.

I do not mine if my husband gets into my purse as long as he ask me first. I do not get into his wallet unless I ask him. I think it is showing respect for someone else property.

In Trinidad we call that house and land. Whenever somebody walks around with a large bag or umbrella we say they are carrying around their house and land. Its also amazing the amount of things people can carry in a large handbag. Here in Port of Spain everyone, or most people anyway, walk around with bags, either shoulder bags or sacks and I can just imagine the kind of crazy stuff they must have in them.

I like that expression! It may as well be house and land in my bag especially when my little girl puts her things in there too! It would be interesting to see what everybody carries around with them, a lot of it would probably not ever be needed...Thanks for responding Bluepatch, appreciate it.

NO. But does that stop him? NO... Ever since I was a teenager and my brothers stole from me, I don't like anybody getting into my belongings. Ever...

I don't have brothers but I can see how annoying that would have been! Having them go through your things! I don't like people going into my bag without asking either but like I said before, nobody wants to anyway! Thanks for stopping by Dawn!

Hi paula Rather i would say that i hate men who tend to dig a woman's bag, not because its just a bad habit but it is that men always hate and complaint about womens habits and tastes and when a woman carry's a bag she has got lets say half of her house in it.And according to me they all are necessary because men never like to take homely responsibilities. And when men digs inside they start taunting or making fun of what exactly a woman is or how croocky she can be and i hate when men talk about what they dont really no..

It's funny...My husband jokes about my bag and all the stuff I have in it but when we go out he has often handed me his keys or sunglasses and asked me to put them in my bag! Handy when they need them! I think that all the things I carry around are necessary too, men just don't get it...Thanks for responding Archie!

I personally don't like anyone in my purse unless I have given them permission to do so, such as, "Honey, please get my wallet out of my purse." Things like that. But in response to your purse with an anchor inside: I LOVE big bags. A small bag is not worth using to me, because I never have room for everything that I want to put in there. My family endearingly says that I'm carrying around luggage on my shoulder. And to tell you the truth, it's usually not worth asking my boyfriend to find something in my purse because he can never find it. As soon as he gets frustrated and hands my bag over to me, I find the missing item in no time flat.

I relate to that! Like I said, men use their 'boy eyes' and rarely find anything. My husband can never find my purse or my phone and both are easily stored in separate compartment, go figure! They are from Mars, what can I say? Thanks for sharing shibakat!

Hi Paula I can particularly relate to this. You can get anything on earth from nails to cow in my bag!! People think, I am areal mess when comes to my hand bag, which a big bagagge kind of thing. I feel, there's a method in madness for I know where to get my stuffs and the pick pocket gets confused where to get what. Public transport, here, is really a hassle to travel in and its so crowded that pic pocketeers make a living out of it!! Even though, I had once lost my phone, courtesy: some really intelligent thief, I can bet if anyone would find anything in here. Seriously, I know this is not right but I am quite used to this. My mom thinks I am a mess but It's OK. Coming to guys inclination, I think, my friends have been pretty decent not to do that. If you ask me, I would only want my spouse may be to delve into it, if at all he is interested or if it is something really urgent.

I wouldn't like just anybody going into my bag unless it's my husband. He won't go in there though; he says he's afraid! (LOL) Bummer about the pick pockets, I had my purse stolen once, awful feeling isn't it? Thanks for being here mimpi!

Hi Paula, Usually my hubby doesn’t (dare to) put his hand in my bag. If I asks anything to get from my bag, his answer will be, you come and get it and give me. According to him I am keeping unnecessary thins in my bag and he can’t search and waste his time. (Yes it must be simply waste of time because he can’t find out the thing he wanted). But I am not filling by bag with unnecessary items, there must be a small book, and some photographs, hair clips, mobile charger, pen and a comb etc. in fact he is lazy to search that is the only reason. If I am going out with kids then it will be filled with necessary items for them.

I can relate to filling your bag with kid things. I have wipes, hand cleaner, drink bottle etc not to mention the fact that my daughter will take a toy or something with her when we go out and it will inevitably end up in my bag where it will stay until she either asks for it or I clean my bag out! Thanks for the response Sreekala!

Sorry, and I don't mean to be rude, but I really feel the need to ask; since you were on this topic discussion. What is it ladies bring all the time in their handbags? Besides toiletries, that is. I sometimes see ladies with a huge bag and I wonder what's inside. Besides files, work stuffs and the likes. I mean personal things can be aplenty? Guys have it easier with no bags at all. Just the wallet will do.. I've never delved before. I'm afraid of what I would find.. .. just kidding.

Well, my purse with my money in it is large! There's not a great deal of cash in it but it's big anyway! Let's see...Tissues, makeup, hairbrush, mirror, sunglasses, mobile phone, perfume, cups, saucers, saucepans...Just kidding! Being a mum I have to keep practical things in my bag like sanitised wipes, hand cleaner and my kid's drink bottle, you name it...It's in there! Thanks for responding zed!

I think it's pretty much up to the owner on this one. I have granted permission before to get something out of there but if they did it on their own without me saying...I might get a little mad about it. I don't have anything to hide but I feel like that is "my stuff".

big bag - big bag to put any stuff in
i, too, like bigger bags. i just find it convenient to have a big space for all my stuff. it is easier to carry one thing with everything inside rather than another one on the other hand. i think my son does not want to delve into my bag. when i request him to get my wallet inside my bag, what he does is to bring my big bag to me and he lets me get my wallet instead. he says he just doesn't want to look for it inside as there are a lot of things there,

It's funny, I don't know what guys are afraid of in there! Maybe they think we keep a strange animal in our bags that's going to bite their fingers off!(LOL)I love big bags! I had my sister bring me back a nice big one when she visited Bali; it's a 'Dolce & Gabbana'; chances of it being the real thing? Zero...Nice bag though...Thanks for responding moneymakingtoday!

I'm a woman but i can do without most of the things that clutter a woman's handbag. There is no need for me be embarrassed when a guy raids my bag. They'll even tell me with obvious irony that I do not love to read pocket books.
