Who Is Your Favorite NASCAR Driver/Drivers?

As a huge fan of the sport I like to find out who other fans like, who is your favorite driver and why? How long have you been following them and watching NASCAR?
My favorite driver is Jimmie Johnson, I know this can cause a big debate but you can like who you like, this is why we live in America. I've been following Jimmie since 2002 and I've been watching NASCAR since around that time as well, I use to see clips when I was younger but never really understood it and was too busy with other things. My second favorite is Brian Vickers, I've been following him since 2003 and followed him all the way to Hendrick and now onto Red Bull.
I don't want this post to cause fights since I know sports can and especially NASCAR and who likes and dislikes who, I just want to know who everyone is cheering for each week.

I actually like more than one driver. I started with Jeff Gordon because my husband has been a fan of his for a long time and I've only been into the sport for the past 6 years. When Jimmie came on board he was GREAT so I like him, too. I didn't care for Dale Jr. too much until I saw a special about him on television and it turned out that he wasn't as snotty as I thought. He's a great driver and, as I posted in your other discussion, given some time and some good luck, and he'll be back on top again. I don't like Kyle Bush...he takes too many risks on the track and puts other drivers in danger. I didn't like Tony Stewart until last year when he settled down and stopped being such an a$$. I'm glad that his new team is doing well but Jimmie is going to win the Chase again!

Thanks for the response. I like all the Hendrick drivers, don't get me wrong, Jr just isn't my favorite lol but he isn't as much of jerk as they make him out to be sometimes, I've seen things about him as well on TV, I miss seeing him in the 8 car I guess is part of it but the past is the past.
I can't stand Kyle Busch either!! I never have been able too, he does take too many risks and he is a huge cry baby, if he finishes second, it's always the end of the world.
I believe Jimmie will win again too and Mark has a good chance too but I'm sure Mark will finish in the top 5 in points, but being at Hendrick has been his best opportunity to win more races and make/win the chase. I didn't like Tony until he went out on his own, he use to be such a jerk but he has settled down and now I like him, he is so mellow now for the most part, which I like.

I miss seeing Jr. in the 8 car, too. I had to laugh when I read your comment about Kyle being a huge cry baby...yes he is! I'm also glad to see Mark Martin doing so well on the Hendricks team but I'm still hoping that Jimmie wins again this year.

As you can tell by my other posts, I am a Big Dale Jr fan. I watched his father race many years since I would say the 1980's. I am the same age as Jr, so I practically grew up with NASCAR. I have seen his brother Kerry race and when his sister Kelley drove for awhile. I even watched when they raced together for the first time and it was amazing, then I watched the race that took Dale Sr. life. :(( It was a very dreary day/week/months and even years for some of us. Though Jr has his moments, I am sure it is hard for him with personal, business and spiritual issues and I just hope he can someday be back to himself and be like he was before, winning, being in the top 5 or top 10 again. I have faith, that he will find his way back to enjoying what he is doing, believing himself, remembering where he came from. I am a true fan, so whether he wins or loses, I will still be his fan.
