The nights are drawing in and winter will be here soon I am looking for any good comfort food recipes that warm you up on a winters night. I love to cook good wholesome food and would like to add some varied tastes to the season. Would welcome all suggestions.

Taco Soup is great comfort food. We eat ours with shreeded cheese and a spoonful of sour cream on top. Scoop it up with Tostidos Scoups. Excellent!!

I received a small slow cooker for my birthday. I did not use it during the summer but now that the days get shorter and colder I just love it. I have made different stews in it and also chili. There are lots of rccipes on the internet. Other than that I usually prepare other trusted recipes during the winter. Minestrone soup with chick peas, topped with garlic flavorued croutons Baked beans, either vegetarian or with ham Lentil soup with spinach Vegetarian stew with eggplant and soy protein Ratatouille, this is a vegetarian medley with potatoes, peppers, carrots and zuccini. Meat pies

Chili is one of the best meals for a cold winter night. We also like to eat beef stew and roasts when it is cold. Those are all wholesome meals and can be very filling meals. We usually have peanut butter sandwiches with our chili.
