Clarification need in twitter account

I have account with twitter and I registered with this site as some of our mylot members said that we can earn and get referrals by having twitter account. I am not knowing anything about this still. I used to receive some requests from other members asking me to follow them. I used to click the given like and the click on" follow' from my email.. But I don't know what is happening when we follow them..I don't get anything from them about their program or websites/blogs after that..What is the procedure to let the other to know about our sites..I don't like to earn from twitter account. But I want to get some referrals for my programs..Please tell me the exact procedure for that? What should we do ? I am zero in that and hence I need a clear idea about the twitter.

As I don't have any idea about twitter, there may not be any use to you even if I follow you except a increase in your follower count. hi, thanks a lot for your reply. I am actually looking out for earning options at twitter. I am working from Microworkers where I get few jobs of tweeting there, but some tasks need an eligibility of certain number of followers. there are also few tools at twitter which allow auto tweets based on the number of ur followers, ill share these once i get further information. It would be grt if you could follow me and ill surely follow you back my tweet user id is infolancer007

so be careful in using twitter. its a good marketing tool but always remember to do the marketing in an ethical manner.

As I am not familiar with the procedure there in twitter, I will not misuse it in anyway..I have to learn a lot about this site..I am just accepting the follow requests only and rarely I used to read the posts of the other members.As I am finding it confusing , I have not spent much time in this site so far.But as some of the members are saying that we can earn more from twitter and gain referrals for our programs from this site, I wished to be active.Hope I will learn about this site well very soon.Thanks for your suggestion.

the point of twitter is to post short updates on what you're doing or opinions, or reply to other peoples comments. You can use it to mention a website or photo and post links but if all you do is post referal or sales links, your followers could report you for spamming and twitter coud ban your account.
