This is what I heard from a friend of mine.I work for Home Depot and I agree. They're getting rid of qualified employees and keeping part timers who don't care about the company or customers. They're trying to make all of the stores look the same, even thoigh stores in the same market cater to different types of customer. Have any of the Mylotters noticed this?

It's a chain of hardware stores. You can buy anything for your home from a doorbell and a box of tools to sheds, holiday decorations, toilet seats, washing machines and refrigerators, carpeting and flooring, paint, faucets and sinks, you name it.

I haven't heard anything, but I've heard horror stories about buying appliances from them because once you buy it you're on your own--if there's anything wrong with it they won't honor the warranty or do anything to help you, the customer service is awful, etc. My family never buys appliances from them because of all the terrible stories we've heard about people's money going down the drain because they bought lemons from those people and were stuck with them.

I had heard about a year ago that Home Depot was supposed to merge or buy out or something, with K-Mart/Sears Holdings Corp. In fact, the Super K-Mart nearby painted their building the same color orange as the Home Depot. Like I said, this was probably close to a year ago, and nothing else seems to have happened since then. Have you heard anything like that? As far as them getting rid of qualified people, from my own retail experience, it seems to happen just about everywhere! It's a shame, but any way they can save a few bucks, they will!
