this is just the craziest thing. i never watch Simpsons.i've always thought my grandkids should not be allowed to watch as from what i've in just snippets of it the little boy is just nasty to his parents. Anyway, how ridiculous is it that they are putting Marge, the mom, in Playboy? i've been hearing about it then it was on my news this morn. it came from my movieline news and i followed a link to live journal and saw most of whats going to be in playboy in November isnt this just sad that they are doing this to a tv mom that the kids sometimes watch? heres a pic from movieline. btw, they blacked out the nipples i guess they will be seen in playboy.

I think it is quite silly. I am not sure who would want to see Marge Simpsons nipples. A little weird but each to their own I guess.

Hahaha wow. Playboy must really need readers these days. I am a little curious what they did with this, but I'm not going to bother checking it out. Kind of ridiculous, kind of just funny to me.

I remember my folks not liking us watching the 3 Stooges or Spanky and our gang. I guess they didn't want to give us any new ideas Hopefully, parents that read magazines like that would keep them out of the reach of their children. However, I'm not sure it's really a bad thing for Marge to pose like she did. It sends a clear message that even if you're married and have children, you can still be desireable and alluring. If it help men to see their wives in a new light and from a different perspective, I'm all for it. Now, if Homer decides to fight fire with fire, and poses for Playgirl...I'm not sure that the same message would be sent.

I cant believe that you never watch the Simpsons. The Simpsons is a show that appeals to kids and adults, but I would have to say whoever thought it was a good idea to have Marge appear in playboy should be shot, well maybe not shot but lose their job, It seems a line has been crossed here and as my new favorite saying would go, "Whose responsible this?"

now thats a pretty good saying. i really never thought it was that funny. i watched it a couple times when it first started and i could see nothing in it for me, i wanted to just pick Bart up and bust his butt if hed been real. thats a pretty good saying there. i still think its publicity.

What? How strange is this? Do guys want cartoons in playboy? It seems completely odd to put a cartoon in this magazine. They must think people want it and they will sell plenty of copies. It must be for the novelty factor.

Hasn't Playboy always had jokes and cartoons? Easy enough to miss, I guess.

i guess its got to be for the novelty. unless men really do get turned on and get off from a cartoon? none of them have explained that to me whether its done or not

I think lots of men get turned on by cartoons. Look at the popularity of adult anime. I guess the cartoon format is easily understood, freeing up thought processes to concentrate on other matters...

They were saying her body has been photo-shopped and it is the body of some other cartoon character. These people are serious egotists and need to be in the spotlight. The people who buy into their rubbish are fools...my kids let my grandchildren watch it...saying it's harmless but they enjoy Big Brother too so enough said. Those shows are on a channel directed towards young people here in Oz. I avoid it. It's too revealing as to what direction the world is heading.

uumm,i agree about the sillyness of it all and it shouldnt be directed for kids to watch, but i like Big Brother but its not a cartoon and not directed toward kids i think.

i guess since mr.burns seems to try to get rid of homer every other wek,she needed the money. i think that may bite them in the end,i'm sure some people won't be letting their kids watch it after that, even though it's a cartoon.

The Simpsons was originally targeted toward adults, I think. I wouldn't let my children watch it till they were in their teens and Bart couldn't influence them! But I know a lot of children watch it, parents just don't get that kids shouldn't be exposed to content like that. And I think they know that children watch so putting Marge on Playboy is very irresponsible--unless, of course, they are deliberately trying to ruin the morals of our kids. Everyone else is, why not them?

Bunny, I told my kids at very young ages to stick with me and not hang with strangers. I told them gradually, as they asked and as situations arose, all the things that could happen to them. They're mentally, physically and emotionally healthy adults now so I guess I did the right things! I'm sure you did, too!

hi bunnybon7 but little kids won't be reading playboy will they, I mean surely little kids are not allowed to be snooping into adults junky trashy magazines. So the only ones reading or knowing about marge simpson in Playbook would be adults or may be teens.

you are so right. id have never thought things would get this crazy. when we were young silly funny cartoons were designed for kids only. and playboy was designed with real women for only men to sneak and look at.

Lol I think that's quite funny. I am personally not offended by this because it just seems like a bit of fun and I am sure that Playboy want their fans to see it as something humourous anyway. I don't actually watch Simpsons myself - just never really liked it, but it is an adult cartoon, not really mean for children anyway.

the definition of play boy is, the boy who like to have so many girl friend and maintain personal relation with them, but no have intention to get marry. he pressure life for enjoyment without responsibility or attachment or wont marry. i think its only a word 'playboy', may very few people who are real play boy, only want enjoyment with so many girls but wont marry one.you watch over TV and movie is not real life at all.

T_T there's a lot of dirty things out there, you won't even imagine what goes on in the world with the crazy cartoonists and the filth. _ I don't even want to see another Disney movie since the time I was completely traumatized by what I seen. :P

I would have to one thing and its that I love Simpsons from the first time I saw it. Its very funny but it also bad the way the kids treat their parents and also the way the father treats his children. Children should be restricted to see things like this if the parents feel that they are reacting adversely after seeing it. I am hearing this for the first time that Marge is going to be in Playboy. I will wait for it to release and take a glimpse of it.

I have heard it on the Newscast a few days ago. I was shocked and surprised that they would let a cartoon character pose in Playboy. I guess Hugh Hefner watches The Simpsons and is a huge fan. Well, I have seen Marge on The Simpsons and see does have a nice body. I wonder if they will have any other female cartoon characters on Playboy in the future.

I THINK its mean't to be funny! And honestly, if I had Marge and Homer for parents I would be like Bart too...lol And really, don't you think Lisa, the little girl is a fine role model for little girls?! As for them being cartoons? Does anyone remember 'Battle of the Planets?" I had a crush on one of them some time in the early eighties...!

I heard about this also. I think it is weird of putting an adult cartoon character in a playboy. I heard it was for a charity of some sort not exactly sure which one, but it is still unusual to use this technique.

well that would be good but i think it would be a first to do that for charity. i think its done for their own gain.
