Is it her fault to be just 5'1 feet tall? My sister is a licensd criminologist but she can be a police woman because of this standard height in ou country. My sister may not be tall but she is very intelligent. It's sad that intelligent persons are not given a change because of their height. My sister wasted her time and efforts to be a licensed Criminologist for nothing. This standard is not fair!!!!

Now I think girls can be policewomen even at 5 feet but i think they will be limited to the desk not in action. I think it's really unfair. My friend had a similar experience. She passed the exams and interview and agility test when she applied for the Bureau of jail management and penology but was denied because she lacked in height. She is just 5 feet and the ones hired should be 5'2". Now it's really unfair because she was not told that height does matter and she did all that were required before the height measurement thing.

I honestly thought the only job you could not have based on height was modelling....I had no idea there was a height limit for police officers. I agree that this is completely unfair! As long as she is smart and has a passion for this job, she should be considered regardless of her height.

I agree and I hope that our President knows all the hardship of my sister to serve our country but she not allowed to do so because of this non-sense rule. Thank you for your sympathy.

That's too bad, but since it's a policy it may take some time for it the be changed. I'm sure there are other jobs available for your sister since joining the police force may be out of her options right now. Well, that's just how bureaucrazy works. Cheers!

My cousin experienced the same thing. Instead of becoming a policeman he became a security guard. I also don't get the rationality behind that rule. It sucks! And aside from that why don't they inform aspirants ahead of time? I'm so sorry about your sister but then just tell her to move forward there maybe something better in store for her.
