well good job losing weight! i hope you are not too skinny, that is skinnier than you would like. i've never had stress or anxiety make me lose weight, well actually i have, nm. i have lost a lot of weight before. i was unhealthy too at the time. i was unhealthy because i was not social and i was isolating myself. and i was doing this so i could lose weight. then people wouldn't make me eat. sad. but good job!

Hi I actually lost 35 lbs in the past year and mine was health related. I had a health issue that caused me initially to gain 35 lbs in 4 months, despite the fact that I was eating low fat and exercising for 12 hrs/week! I tried lots of Doctors as well but found that they were all useless. I finally found a Naturopath who determined that I had a hormonal imbalance and also really high cortisol (stress hormone) that causes your body to gain weight. I started taking pills to lower my cortisol, and after a while hired a personal trainer and I'm back to being slim again which is normal for me.

First off, good for you for losing all that weight! You must feel fabulous. I really want to get into a healthier lifestyle too and shed a couple pounds. I am trying my hardest to be more active and to make smart diet choices, but sometimes it's just so hard! Over the past few years I've been fluctuating up and down about 25 pounds, and I'd like to settle myself somewhere on the lower end of that spectrum without worrying that my weight is going to keep bouncing up and down like it has been.

The most I lost was 40 lbs and I probably gaines some back, but I don't think I gained it all back. Most of the time I don't eat much as I just am not hungry. I live alone as I am divorced, and I just don't want to eat. My son keeps getting after me abot eating more, but I just don't want to gain to much weight. It is hard for me to lose weight as I think my metabolism is low, but I sure do all I can, as I walk and do try to cut down on the foods that are high in calories. Sometimes that is hard as it looks so good, and I feel I just have to have it. One thing I do though, is eat a lot of yogurt and black grapes. In fsct the grapes I can eat b the hand fulls and they are gone before I know it. They are seedless, big and very sweet. In fact, I think tomorroww I will go buy some more grapes. I eat them while I am in mylot, and I just lose track of time and eat them all. Anyway, I sure am trying to lose but it just isn't easy. Take care, and happy mylotting.

Congratulations on your recent weight loss. Haven't really had a weight problem most of my life. Kept a few pounds after the birth of our kids but that eventually drifted off. The past few months I have quit chocolate since my blood sugar was a little elevated. That also caused a few pounds to fall off. I am a comfortable size now and healthy. My food portions aren't large which also keeps my weight in check. I was truly blessed in this department.

Hi MM, When I get stressed or anxious I don't eat..food is the last thing I think of or even want then I do lose weight, the other reason I think you lose weight like that is because you are living on nervous energy, so it is a catch 22 situation, but onthe other hand some comfort eat...in a sense I am glad it isn't that way with me as it puts on weight...LoLo

I have gained weight rather then lost it. I think stress really does different things for different people. It made me gain... I guess if you look at it this way, stress can make some over eat and some under eat.

well congrats on the weight loss... that is always a good thing but I am sorry if it was due to stress and anxiety and I hope things are going better for you now. I have lost some weight over this past year, but only like 5 lbs... and I have another 5 that I am working on... it was my baby weight from my daughter who will be 2 in january...I am down to the last 5 lbs that I need to be back at my original weight. Happy mylotting!!

Only this year, i felt i had lost a few pounds due to the busy life i am having right now. Taking care of my son and doing housework with busy online schedule, really makes me too busy, until had loss appetite in food. I agreed that, stress and anxiety can makes us lose weight a lot. Anyway, we must try to combat those stress and anxiety, to make a balance and healthy lifestyle. Do take good care of yourself, while busy. Stay healthy forever....

Hi MoneyMommy, This sounds alarming to me. Losing 30 pounds means a lot. Are you not having any health problems or having weird feeling? It's good to lose weight is you 're following a program. I hope you're okay and if not maybe you need to see a doctor especially that what causes your weight loss were stress related. Please don't get me wrong. You need self-care and other stress management activities. For the meantime, take a deep breath and relax. I hope i can lose that much too. I want to lose extra weight.

I haven't lost alot of weight since 1999 & that was 30 some lbs. Sadly since having kids that's all come back and a bit more. And of course having kids means extra expense I can't afford to go to the gym as it is nonetheless pay childcare there.

Good for you for losing the weight! Unfortunately stress and anxiety can cause a person to lose a lot of weight. Which isn't exactly a good way to lose it. I could stand to lose about 10 pounds myself. I just need to start eating a little better.
