I would rather much throw a party for my pets' birthday.I would invite my friends who can have pets.this way,my pets can socialize with other animals.I would make a cake that can be eaten by pets.for Christmas,I can give them gifts.

i remember I bought a pillow for my dog when she was the only dog I have. She likes to sleep. I think she adopt sleeping from LOL. She also like to wear small clothes, so I give all my childhood dress to her so that when the weather is cold she can still feel warm. That dog of mine thought she is a human too, she thinks she is my younger sibs, she love my family very much. My other dog which is a male adopt that kind of attitude too. When I received my salary I bring home, thier favourite chocolates and fried chicken as a gift. That is how important my dogs to me. I do the same with my cats.

I don't know Harmony's birthday, so no, I don't get her a present. My cousin gets presents for her dog on Christmas and the dog enjoys getting them. I don't know if she gets the cat anything. I don't think the cares, anyway.

I know they don't know what day it is but I do! Yes, I get them a gift and make them a doggie birthday meal! With my own children grown and gone, I get to spoil my dogs. I've been making their toys lately as I can make them stronger than the pet store cloth toys with squeakers and they just love them. Both my dogs had a birthday in August, they were 7 and 8, and they each got a new toy and a special birthday meal! They are always very quiet on Christmas Eve. I think animals know when something Holy is afoot. I do get them small gifts and let them enjoy a special Birthday Cake on Christmas along with my own that I bake to honor our Lord.

I like to buy birthday gifts for my brother's cat, but I send them on his birthday, not that of the kitty.

I usually will get my pets a christmas gift but that is about it. I dont tend to get my dog a birthday present. that would be a bit much. I think cats and dogs are entitled to birthday present but I think ther are some things are pets can get for presents but not any.

We usually give them gifts for Christmas, we put the gifts in their stocking though and then take the stocking down and dump the stuff on the floor. I don't think it's odd at all that you get them gifts, though why do you wrap them up, so they're less likely to smell the gift?

This is a good discussion and I am sure that a lot of people like having pets because they add a lot to a home, and I am sure that some people might like dogs, while others might like cats, and then some might like both, and when it comes to me I am both a dog and cat person because they both have so much, dogs are loyal, and they will protect you from outside threats, and they are said to be mans best friend, and cats will lay on your lap, they will lay with you,and they protect you from mice and other inside pests and we have two dogs and two cats, and they seem to get along just fine without getting into any fights or anything else and we do not get our pets birthday gifts but we do usually get them gifts for Christmas and our pets are part of our family so they each have their on stocking that we hang up at Christmas, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

I don't buy my Cody a birthday gift however I do the same thing as you do at Christmas time. I buy him a stuffed toy and special treats. I wrap them up and they I watch and take a picture of him opening the gift. He is part of the family why not?

I always buy gifts for their birthdays and Christmas. As a matter of fact I buy each cat a Christmas stocking and put a can of food, a few toys and cat treats in it. I do not wrap up their gifts (although my mom did for the dog). I like seeing my cats climb into their stockings to get their gifts out. I buy them birthday presents as well.
