So this whole balloon boy hoax thing is out of hand, which is just what dad had hoped for. According to news, he has been seeking out some sort of media attention. Which is why the family appeared on wife swap several times. But then today I hear of this video made by the family with the kids singing a horrible song. Just thought you might want to check out the video its on you tube. The mother apparently has decided to seek her own lawyer in her defense but I think she is and has been in on the whole thing and is just trying to ensure her kids stay with them. Tell me what you think after seeing the video. Is this family a mess, are the kids being brainwashed? Here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmIBPAY90MM

I guess he is going to be the next celebrity that really has done nothing to deserve celebrity status. However for some reason Americans seems to eat this kind of stuff up. I doubt he will go to jail, it would seem rather pointless, there are much worse criminals that do not go to jail which are terribly overcrowded. It is possible that the family might break up over this especially with all the publicity and the big losers will be the children.

What do you think about the fact that mom has now admited to the hoax? Some are saying it is so she doesn't lose the kids, in cause dad does go to jail.

Negative publicity is still publicity for them. I feel sorry for their kids that they were dragged into this kind of mess. I don't think they were brainwashed, they were talked into it and probably look up to their parents so much. I just hope that when they grow older they will be surrounded with sensible people to change their outlook in life.

I don't think they were brainwashed, they were talked into it and probably look up to their parents so much. If you think about it though, if these kids had been raised PROPERLY they would have known to some degree that playing a trick like that is mean and wrong and would at least know that LYING is wrong ya know...I have to say that I think that these kids have been brainwashed to some degree... I too feel sorry for these kids..just imagine the backlash they are goin to get frm other kids for example and this will stay with them for yrs to come as will the backlash

I heard the story of baloon boy. It sounds odd. I don't know what made the family do such a thing. Government has wasted a lot of money chasing the baloon. Later, I read that the whole thing was planned by the father and he made the other kids lie that the little boy was inside the baloon. I think the government is charging the family for the expenses. Theyd deserve it.
