Its a rainy day in Florida today, a great day for testing recipes. I am testing for my blog and am working on cheesecakes. Today I made a pumpkin carmel with ginger snap crust and a raspberry swirl one. I'm looking for more recipes for some different types of cheesecake. Do you have a favorite that you'd like to share, prehaps a family hand me down or Grandmothers best? If I use it on blog, of course you will get the credit. Thanks in advance for your help J

You are what? You are going to be making cheese cakes on a regular bases for your blog. I am so wishing I was your best friend and neightbor right now! How I love cheese cake; oh I just can't tell you. However I just can't bring myself to make cheese cake more then once a year or less. I just can't I mean I just can't because I love it so much that I would eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner and everything in between! I do eat cheesecake when I go out to a resturant for dinner so I get my fill that is for sure. I often wonder though if I would loose my desire for cheesecake if I tried different flavors. I am partial to a plain cheese cake wiht just the slightest bit of strawberry or rasberry saucse. I have tried a few others though and do enjoy them but if plain cheesecake is on the menu it is impossible for me to choose anything else but the plain version!

Hi Coffee No silly, not on a regular basis, although I probably could with all the recipes I have from school..No, I'm going to feature cheesecake in my Thanksgiving blog. I blog about all kinds of food and all kinds of recipes, I've been working on it for months and it will post twice a week. I'm opening it the week before Thanksgiving and cheesecake will be the featured desert..I understand what you are saying. It is a wonderful desert and there are sooo many variations..Plain is always good as you say, but if you tried a couple of the ones we made in school, you might change your mind..

Hi Coffee, No silly, not on a regular basis. I'm going to feature cheesecake on my Thanksgiving post. I blog about food, all types, all kinds of recipes. It has not posted yet as I am still working on it, but it will open the week before Thanksgiving and will post twice a week. Cheesecake will be the feature desert for Thanksgiving. I probably could, however, do chesecake on a regular basis with all the recipes I've collected from school and cookbooks etc. I know what you are saying, believe me. It is a wonderful desert. Plain is always a sure thing but if you tried some of the many variations I have up my sleeve, you might change your mind. I did not major in pastry, but truly enjoyed that part of the training. Now I have to train all the time to stay in shape!! Its hard to be a cook and stay slim..real hard..Think I'll go have a piece of yesterdays trials for breakfast! Thamks for the post...J

Wow that sounds really amazing, a ginger snap crust what a great idea. Pumpkin and caramel, I bet that is amazing. How about a cheese cake covered with caramlized apples with a butter crumb topping. Oh now I am hungery. Your cheese cake sounds so good, and then I just thought of that one off of the top of my head and that sounds so good too. Now I am going to have to figure out how to make that. LOL
