What you you feel and think when you are having meal alone out there? How it feels? I don't expect it will be bad-bad thing or experince. Some find it tranquil and relaxing? But to some, it is a dread. personally, I am comfortable with it and so many thing can can think and brainstorm... relaxing.

personally i dont mind eating alone. it gives me a chance to be with my thought uninterupted. and i like observing other diners too, letting my imagination run wild. eating alone or with company, either way im fine with it.

For me, I dont like having meal alone our there. I havent done it lately but when I used to go back and forth Japand and USA during the vacation from school, I did few times while I had to stay over night at the airport hotels. I felt lonely and I didnt like it at all. I order room services if I have to eat alone.

I feel awfully bored. So when it is inevitable, I go to takeaways and sit at home, watch TV and eat the food.

Now, 5 minutes before you've got me going to McDonalds, you make me think about a sit-down restaurant. What are you trying to do to me? I eat out quite a bit, and I've found when I'm on my own, I like to have a newspaper, magazine, or real estate guide with me, and I prefer sitting in a corner. I think it's a bit inconsiderate when the host(ess) seats a party of one in the center of a room. I'll always ask for another table, and make some joke to facilitate the move. Give me a corner table, something (like a newspaper) to make me look like I have a focus, a good meal and plenty of iced tea, and I'm entertained well. I also enjoy the people watching and listening as well. Bottom line, I love the independence and down-time, but if I don't feel comfortable, it's worse than having not gone. Now, if you start posting about dinners around 6 pm, I'm blocking you!

I have never eaten at a restaurant alone - I think I would feel weird just sitting by myself eating, but I don't know??
