Hey MyLotters, SO this Wednesday I am traveling to Austin, TX and it has been a while since I've flown. Do you have any tips for me on flying? I want it to go as smooth as possible so once I get there I don't have to worry about a headache or any flying related problems... Please Help

If it has been a while since you have flown, you might want to look up the airline you are flying with and get the dos and don't of what you can have in a carry on. Also security has tighten up a lot. You have to do such things as remove your shoes, your coat if you are wearing one, etc. Also you are not allowed to bring any bottled water through security. That is all that comes to mind at the moment. Have a fun and safe trip!

I suggest you have a light meal before you fly and drink plenty of water. Then visit the restroom just before getting on the plane. See if you can get a window seat. If you suffer headaches when you fly try to relax. I suffer ear pain when I fly to avoid that I wear a pair of ear planes. Good luck with you flight to Austin in Texas.

First of all, Greeneacres, I see that you may be a little bit new here to myLot so let me send out a great big "WELCOME" to you. One tip that I can give you for flying is to have everything all set before you get up to security. This makes it go a lot quicker for them and for you, and they appreciate it. If you have a carryon or a jacket, try to put everything out of your pockets in that so that you don't have to do it at the last minute. If you have to untie your shoes to take them off, have them untied and the laces loosened so they pull right off and you can place them right into the basket. If you have electronics in your carry-on, be sure to put them on top. It makes it easier for security. If you have a very long flight, don't forget to take something along to keep you entertained. Some of the longer flights have movies and such, but not all planes.
