Moosehead Lake, Maine

I have traveled quite a bit around the United States and I have met the most random people. I find that my hometown; Greenville, Maine; is a place that many people know something about. Greenville is the town located at the southern part of Moosehead Lake. Moosehead is 40 miles long and 22 miles wide and is a popular vacation spot for many families from across the globe. Just wondering if anyone here at myLot knows of Moosehead Lake or Greenville, Maine. I am curious if my theory is true, that many have a tie back to my hometown. If you don't know the area, do you have the same feelings about your neck of the woods? Have you experienced distant travels and meeting people familiar with your small town?

that is wonderful! I love Vermont. It is so beautiful and peaceful. I have traveled there many times! You are so right, there is no place like home. I hope you have a wonderful trip back home and that you get to see lots of friendly faces. What made you move to Ohio? I would imagine Vermont to be a much nicer place to live. Anyway, safe travels!

That sounds like a nice reason. Being near the kids and getting a change of scenery can be a good thing. It must be nice to visit home often then. I love winter and can't wait for the snow to fly. I would miss it if I moved somewhere with shorter winters. I like the cold to. Snuggled in with the favorite movie and the hubby :) I would miss Maine terrible if I moved again. Do you enjoy Ohio? I bet it is nice to be near the kids.
