What I'm Thankful For(Website edition)

There are a few websites for which I am truly thankful. Odd I know, but a few in particular have changed my life in ways I never thought possible. I have to admit it feels weird saying that I'm thankful for an inanimate object, but then again I'm thankful for hugs and love and I can't exactly touch them either, so here I go... 1. Gather-I had no idea what to expect when I wrote my first post. I actually still remember the feeling of anticipation and nervousness that I had when I hit submit. (Originally it was the anticipation of "Am I doing this right? What if no one reads what I wrote?" Now it's more "I hope this thing posts. I really don't feel like retyping it. Wait, did I copy it first ?") Anyway, I've made so many new friends and contacts here and it's really become a part of my life. I look forward to sharing things here and getting feedback. Odd to say about a website, but I look forward to the time I have here. 2. Eharmony.com-This and Match.com are two websites that I swore I would never need/use. Well, as it turns out, I was so wrong. I originally only trusted my older cousin(who is more like my brother) to introduce me to guys because I truly valued his opinion. Well, he's a cop so he only hangs out with cops. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I truly enjoyed my time partying with the cops as opposed to them showing up uninvited. I did not sign up for Eharmony and Match on a whim, it was a well thought out thing. I found all of the questions that they make you answer before I even signed up(Google works wonders) and I spent 2 weeks coming up with the answers that best explained who I am. I figured even if it worked out and I didn't find a guy on Eharmony, at least I would know what I wanted and what I was looking for. I ultimately decided that I liked Eharmony better. After one failed attempt at a relationship(although he is an awesome guy and we are still really close friends), I've found a guy I really like. We've only been dating about 2 months so nearly anything could happen still, but knowing that I was true to myself throughout the whole dating process so far has really been awesome. I like that I don't have to compromise(at least on things that matter), I've found a guy who agrees with me. Who knew a website would help with that as well? 3. Videosquares.com-Now on a totally different note...I love playing games online to relax at night. They help me while away the hours while I'm sitting on boring conference calls about subjects that do not involve me(what? I'm not gonna lie...). While I just found videosquares recently, we have become fast friends. I loved being able to play bejeweled on Facebook and beat my friends' scores, but now I can do that and get rewards too. Awesome! 4. Facebook-This site has allowed me to become so much closer to the friends that I was already close to and allows me to keep in touch with those that I ordinarily would just send Christmas cards. With the rising cost of stamps, I'll be sending a picture Email card to my Facebook friends and crossing that off the list. I love being able to share thoughts, pictures, and conversations with friends. What are you thankful for? (Does not have to be website related, I'm well aware that's an odd thing to be thankful for, but in this day and age, anything's possible).
