my eyes get hurt if i face the computer for more than 5 hours already, one hour is just okay with me, maybe you could set the brighness of your monitor, over bright makes it stingy to our eyes and then you should have a check up on you optalmologist because maybe you need to change the grade of your glasses.

Sometimes the same thing happened on me. But usually i only starring on a far object for relaxing my eyes' muscles. I think you should change your monitor with LCD because LCD screen has no radiation and good for eyes, especially if usually you use your computer for a long time every day. Good luck and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

Hi frnd i got pain after sitting in front of computer for than 4 hours. but its natural as they omit rays and it affect human eyes. If you are in trouble after just one hour than you should avoid this and you should go to the park in the morning as seeing greenery in the morning is good for your eyes.If you cannot live without internet than you should reduce your monitor brightness to less than and contrast to about 45 i m sure it will be very helpful for you.

Before analyzing any situation, i suggest you to document your daily work. Don't forget to note all those instance where the eye pain or headache occurred. One of the common cause of this problem is DRY EYES. Peoples who regularly use TV or or Computer for longer duration may cause Dry Eyes. This is due to straining of the eyes and infrequent blinking and tear formulation. Inadequate sleep or insomnia can also cause dry eyes, as the eyes are not allowed to rest and are apt to dry up faster. Best and Easy remedy for preventing dry eyes are: - Drink plenty of water to keep the body moisturized. - Wear good quality Sun-glass to protect the eyes from harsh weather conditions like wind and dust. - Eat vitamin A, C, and E reach food. Green vegetable salad is always good. - Get plenty of sleep to keep eyes healthy. and most Important - When watching TV, using the computer or other eye straining activities, take frequent breaks and BLINK OFTEN.

I sometimes have this happen, but it takes at least several hours. I am more likely to have wrist or shoulder pain. Have you thought about checking your monitors refresh rate if you are using a CRT not and LCD. You might be surprised to find it is at 60Hz which is very hard on the eyes. If you monitor supports it you will want at least 75.

We share the same problem friend. Sometimes I have vision headaches caused by my long, constant exposure to my monitor. I also wear glasses but it doesn't solve the problem. So I am thinking of consulting a specialist and see what he can do. You should do the same.
