safety matches or a lighter???

I don't use any of the two. But if I were going to choose from them, I would probably go with matches. As you have said it is more biodegradable. If that is one way I can help the earth then why not. Simple things like this can do a lot to save the environment.

I think I would rather use matches as you can dispose of them easier and they are better for the earth.Matches are safer as far as I am concerned.I hope this helps you out and have a great day.

I always use matches when starting fires during cooking and lighting candles. Yes, it's cheaper. But when I went camping I had a lighter because it's much handy. Then after I just give it away to my campmates who likes to have a lighter always because he smokes. One day at home, there was lighter among other things and suddenly it disappeared. Then my brother brought another one and it diappeared too. Well, someone a relative was in the house and kept on using the lighter and eventually went home with it. LOL So, now there are no more lighters at home.

...ligther works for me in all types of situation...the problem with safety matches, when it's wet you can not light up a fire.. :D

Safety matches...heck, they're just a ton more fun with the FWOOSH, than the clik clik of the lighter.

I prefer using matches simply because if you have to tilt th lighter (to light a candle inside a glass holder) then you can get burned. The match on the other hand has a stem you can hold on to.
