I haven't gotten to use Windows 7 yet. I've had a few customers come in looking for books explaining how to use it, though, and they say it's quite different than Vista. They say it works faster and takes up fewer system resources. I've heard that it's supposed to be to Vista what Windows XP was to Windows ME. I'm probably not going to bother upgrading to Windows 7 anytime soon. My mom's really thinking about it, but I told her to wait. Historically, there have always been at least a few problems with Windows' operating systems. It usually takes them a while to work out the bugs. In fact, I got the laptop I use right after Windows Vista was released--long story short, I had a ton of problems with it right from the beginning. It took a good six months before I could get either my printer or my digital camera to work with it. If Windows 7 is really more like Windows XP than Windows Vista, I'll probably upgrade at some point. But that's only if I don't get a brand new computer instead. If I get a new computer, it's going to be a Mac. I've had too many problems with PC's to continue using them in the future.

Why won't you just switch to a mac (apple). It's way better than PC (aka Windows-based systems) and it's virus free. I heard a lot of problems with Vista, and with Windows 7, i also heard a lot of "positive" comments. Maybe, there is still a chance for Windows. But then, I suggest that you better have Windows XP than upgrading to either Windows Vista or Windows 7. Or, you can also have Ubuntu (linux), it's free.

For my own opinion..I'd rather have vista! I'm even having problems with vista..how much more with windows 7 which is still on beta version? i'm not gonna risk my computer!
