How many of you still choose to walk than riding in a short distance?

I can imagine how lazy are some people because even if it is just few meters away from their house they will choose to ride instead of walking. Well, if it is raining or having snow or whatever, it is reasonable to ride but in a fine weather? I often choose to walk in short distances. What about you? do you still drive or ride in your car even in picking up your mail in your mailbox because you don't want to walk anymore? Just curious!!!

Sometime ago I read that now a days people prefer to take a ride to go to their favorite ice cream shops even if it's a few meters away. Don't know what that implies but I for sure don't do that. Walking seems more exciting! Not always nice though, cause once my toenails got off due to this

I think if we're going to some place near, it would be better to walk than riding, because it will make you healthier, save some gasoline if you're using a auto vehicle, beside by walking you will be able to enjoy the scenery better and if you walk with your loved one, man that's just make everything all the better.

There is a park near the place I live. So everytime I go home I always go down the bus the park. I enjoy a leasurely walk. The sunset is nice to look at while all the busy people come to and fro. I think we should always walk if there is a chance. Walking virorously improves the circulation in our body and gives us a healthy heart. I have always believed that walking is the way to health.

yes I agree!! but some people said, they want to save time that instead of walking, they will ride so that it will not be time consuming. Well, for busy people maybe that is reasonable but for those who are not busy. those who are just lazy to walk because they felt tired? Oh!! that's bad.

I'll walk if I don't have a car, sometimes its better to get out and get some sort of exercise instead of pacing around my apartment. Sometimes I'll walk the kids to lunch because its close and we can stay outside a little longer vs driving there and driving back.

That's a good idea and it is a good exercise then you can save your gas. I am just wondering why some people are too lazy to walk?

If you will notice my friend, those people who are lazy are the ones who always have laziness-related disease like hypertension, arthritis etc. ! they don't wanna move their muscles anymore so they suffer in the end. Well, like you said if it is not raining, snowing or too hot like here in our country, then walking is better than riding because walking has always been the best exercise. WE don't just save gas but also saves our life by doing so. I and my hubby loves to walk. Actually I just absorbed this habit from husband. When I was single, I hate to walk and would always ride as much as I could. But when I got married, I noticed my husband would walk each time he'd go out and buy something. Unless he is rushing, he'd prefer to leave the car and just walk and was wondering how come he was tiring up himself. Later I realize it has healthy results and soon without knowing it, I also developed the habit of walking rather than riding. So I encourage every one to use your feet. God gave them to us not just for standing but for walking as well. So let us maximize the use of our feet by walking as much as possible!

Absolutely!!! I agree with you. We should use our feet walking not just by stepping on the gas and break of our car. We have to walk to stretch out muscles and that is healthful. Absolutely correct that those hypertensive people don want to wlak or exercise because for them it is tiresome.. AWFUL!!!!

I love to walk. I prefer to walk rather than driving a car or bike for short distances. I enjoy it. It is really a lovely experience to have a short walk especially with your partner or kid.

That's right!! it is good to walk once in a while and that if the weather is good. But am sure nobody loves to walk during cold winter days and that is reasonable to have a ride because of the cold.

its not about being lazy so much but for me, its more about time. i have very little time at my disposal between work, family, home and my at home job so anything that will save me time is great.

Oh!! I got you, that's right it can save time very much for people who are very busy. But for people who are not busy and no job at all, it would be good to walk once in a while.

Hello Bebs, I am the kind of person who will just walk if it would be a short distance. I usually walk from my office to my husband's work place every night. My off from work is earlier than my husband, so I would walk to his place so that we will go home together. It's about 10 minutes walk and I think it is just fine. some how, it is just a form of exercise for me. Take Care and have fun mylotting! redamethyst

HI, If for short distance, I prefer to just walk to the destination. at least can save my fuel. However, it is depend if raining, then I have no choice but to drive my car out be it is only short distance. My next house is a shopping mall and sometimes, at night, I will just walk there unless I have to buy many things, then, I will drive there.
