There are most of mother spend more time in buying clothes for their children. Buying new toys. And buying new stuff for their children. There are times the mothers forget to buy things own needs of their own. Would you ever spend more on a clothing item for your growing child than you would on yourself?

I have enjoyed in my days. Now it is the time and turn for my children to enjoy. Moreover if I do not buy them good clothing then who will buy for them? Many relatives, though well settled, expect things from others than giving us. If at all they give a small thing also, they go on talking about it again and again and I feel they bought once but they have already talked about it 1000 times and we should not accept anything from them in future. So I buy good cloths to my children than buying for me. Only necessities are bought for me. The happiness that I get when my children wear good cloths is far more than the one that I get, when I wear a good dress.

I always spend more on my kids then I do on myself. In fact I bought a used entertainment center for my bedroom. Yet my kids have brand new dressers in there rooms, and brand new beds. Yet my bed is getting old and has holes in it. My dresser has chipping paint because I bought it used. As for clothes I get mine at thrift stores and the kids are always brand new.

Yes, I spend more in my children's clothing than I do my clothes. I buy new toys as well. My baby daughter is four months old. She is beginning to outgrow her bouncy chair. I have ordered her a play cushion for £60 plus VAT. So the total price including postage is £80. It should last until she is 18 months old hopefully. My toddler son is disabled and I had to buy dungarees when he was younger. Now I may need to get him some braces. My teenager son has pricey school uniform.

Hi feodda, Oh yes,I spend more on things for my kids than for myself.I love buying clothes and other things for them. Whenever I have extra money I think of them always, and when I go to the mall I usually go to the kids' department to buy them new shirts, shorts, or footwear, etc. As for me, since I work in an office I also need to buy things for myself, but I normally follow a schedule and a budget. When it comes to my kids, I tend to buy things on impulse.

As a parent, I spent more for my kid than for myself. Most of the toys we managed to get free. I think most parents give the best for their children. They buy expensive toys for their children. They themselves use unbranded stuffs but they buy branded goods for their children. This is called LOVE.

My girls are grown but when I was raising them I always brought for them. I would not buy a thing for myself for years. Everything was for them. I would go shopping and buy outfits or toys nothing for me. I didn't change my ways until they were almost out of high school. That was the way it was for me. I couldn't see doing for myself back then. They needed more thing then I felt I needed. I could do without.

I would honetly say, i will spend for my own clothes considering the fact that i am working and my work requires me to be presentable in the best way i can. But of course it will not be to the point of not setting aside budget for my kids clothing. They are growing fast as you said and rarely wear new dresses for Sunday Mass and special occassions. As long as my kids are well dressed every time they need is what matters to me instead of having so many clothes and then will fit them because they already outgrown it. If there's a need to buy one for my kids i never deprived them of getting a new clothes.

hi feodda!! I am guilty of this. Most mothers like me would want to have their kids the best of everything. The needs of my kids are always on the top on the list.I don't care if I neglect myself a little bit, if it means that my kids will get the proper care or get the essential things they need to grow well. I guess mothers are really sacrificial in nature.
