I was cleaning my keyboard, while the computer was still on! Yes I know stupid idea. But I have pressed a button and now the scroll option at the side of the screen has gone and I don't know how to get it back =( I have to use the scroll on my mouse to move up and down on pages and its really frustrating. Its only happening on Opera the browser I was on at the time I was cleaning.

It depends on which version of opera you are using. With Opera 10 most of the shortcut keys have been changed. Go to the Tools Menu and then preferences and then in the advanced tab go to the Shortcuts options to get the shortcuts for opera. You can try Ctrl + F7 for enabling or disabling scrollbars. If it does not work then find the shortcut from the preferences menu.

I haven't given up yet, just had a couple problems of my own!!! Since there is a tick mark there for the scrollbar, have you tried taking it out??? If that doesn't work, add it back. I've had success with removing & adding back in the past. If ALL that fails, have you thought about uninstalling Opera then reinstalling it??? That is definitely my LAST line of defense!!!

hmm I didn't really want to have to uninstall and reinstall =( Last time I did that I accidentally install a miliscious firefox on the comp. I will try taking the tick off and on. It might work. I hope.

Thats not worked either. I have searched through the options and advanced options but the scroll bar should be on as the option is ticked. Also I can't minimise or maximise the screen. No idea what I have done. Hopefully a computer wizz sees this and replies. Fingers crossed anyway

Wish I could help you, but I've never used the Opera browser on my PC. I have it on my cell phone. I love searching for answers. So, give me a bit & I'll see if I can find an answer for you!!! I'll be baaack.

http://www.opera.com/support I'm still looking...If your menu bar disappears the combination is Alt+F11. I have NO clue if this will work for the scrollbar, but it's the closest I've found, but I'll keep looking.

No it didn't work =( But thankyou for trying. I am still stuck I have been trying all morning to fix it, but no luck. It must be a button on the keyboard because thats what made it disappear, but I have no idea which one or if its a combination
