Friends, if you see here two discussions on the same topic but started by different people, will you respond to both, just to increase your number of posts?

Yeah, you are right. Me too have the same thought but actually making same posts is against the rules of Mylot and so we will get the number of posts reduced.

Yes, I would respond to the two discussions if the topic interests me. However I have a doubt. Mylot says we should repeat the same post. So If I respond with the same answer to two discussions, will I be paid for both the responses or only one? However I try to answer the two discussions in two different ways.

Usually, I will just respond to the previous discussion and do nothing to the second one. You see, as the guidelines of myLot, the two same topics here is not allowed and after a while, the repeated discussion will be deleted. So, it is useless to post response to a deleted discussion. As far as I know, at most times, the newbies here will start some topics like this. Yes, because they are not familiar with the rules here, so it is obvious that they may do something aganist the guidelines. In order to avoid futile actions, I often use the search tool to find the repeated topics before posting a response.

not to actually increase the number of posts but if both the discussions are equally interesting , by interesting i mean if there many impressive responses to both of them i would go for both . many time there are lot more things i learned from the responses and gained knowledge too . so responding to both will surely improve my knowledge and offcourse posts too , lol

I am not sure, the response is decided by the feeling at that time. I am not sure that I will give the same answer for the same topic. Maybe I will give more answer at the second topic, and I would not give the same answer. I suggest you search the similar topic in mylot when you have a question. Yesterday my posts reached one hundred, and I have three star beside my user name,I am very happy. My purpose in mylot is not for money, but for learning knowledge and english, because unit price is little in mylot.Hope you same.

If it in case it catches my interest, i will definitely respond to it, but of course i will just respond to th first member who started the discussion, because i know and i believe the second discussion will just be deleted. There are lots of ways to increase your post in the site, there are thousands of discussion where you can respond to. So we should not be afraid that our discussion will no longer increase.

I agree with rberon. If there are two and I am interested in the topic I would respond to the first one that was posted and not the second one. I would report the second one. We can know which was posted first and which was posted second by the number in the link in the browser when they are open. The first one would have a lower number than the second one.
