The more places I travel to the happier I become. Since I began traveling I have visited more than 50 different countries. I have developed my favorites list. My favorite countries are Samoa visited in 2002, Australia visited in 1993 plus in 2000, New Zealand visited in 2001 plus 2002, Belize visited in 2006 and the Seychelles visited in 2004. If you haven't done much traveling yet think about possibly going off traveling in the future. Does traveling make you feel happy? Why?

I envy you that you have visited so many countries. It must be a great happiness and I really think you can write a book about it. I like traveling. I think it can give me another new feeling, the new culture, people, food etc. It is attractive for me because of the difference. And you will forget about the work and other troubles when you have the travel. I love China

Hi maximax8! :)) Yes, I actually feel happy whenever I travel. I especially love blending in with the locals, trying their food and using their public transportation. I also find it enjoyable to speak with the locals, trying to understand them as much as possible. So far, I haven't traveled that much because of the lack of funds. Haha! I'm only 22. I've been to mostly Asian countries like: Brunei, Hong Kong, Thailand and Vietnam. I would say that each country I have visited is unique. Out of the 4, Hong Kong tops my list. I would love to go back there and maybe live there for a month or two. Regarding future trips, I would love to go to Japan (during the Sakura Festival), Morocco and Russia. Regarding your previous trips, I've heard that Australia's a nice country to go to. By the way, would you happen to have dropped by here in the Philippines already? Cheers!

I envy you. You have been to some wonderful places. I love to travel. I wish that I could travel all over the world, but right now my husband's work schedule does not provide for it and traveling the world with a family of 5 could get extremely expensive. We do however go on vacation every year here in our own country we have visited lots of different states in the United States and there are only a handful I have not been to yet. But I do hope to do some international traveling before I die. I am hoping that my husband will be able to retire early or at least go part time so that we can enjoy a great deal of travel in our 50's and 60s.

Hello maximax. It's great that you love to travel. I haven't been doing much of that lately. I would like to get into the habit of travelling on a regular basis and I would like to ask you something. Do you travel alone? If you do I would like to know how you do that and how you feel about that. I know that it sounds silly but if you have never travelled alone then it feels kind of strange when deciding to do that. Anyway, I would be grateful if you could answer these couple of questions for me. Many thanks. Andrew

Yes, I love to travel. Like I've been saying, though, I can't afford it these days. I know you're probably tired of hearing it but it's the truth. When you're living on SSI, that's not very much. I like to go sight seeing and to learn about the different cultures of other countries. I also like to visit the different states and meet people there. It's always fun to spend the night in motels/hotels and eat out all the time. I think travel is very educational, too. I can't begin to name all the states I have been to but I have been in Juarez, Mexico twice. That's just right on the border of Texas and Mexico. I have also been to six countries in Europe and to The Bahamas. I just prefer to stay in the states these days. Kathy.

I guess traveling will make me happy though I have yet to do any serious traveling.I may not reach 50 countries. For me, I think, I will want to see China, Australia, Europe and USA. Europe will be fun. Perhaps, even Russia. Currently, I may embark on some local tourism within my own country. Airfares are not cheap so I need to look for low cost carriers to take me on my journeys!

Yeah, traveling makes me relax a lot, because it can reduce stress in my life. Through travel, I can make many friends and open my horizons. The Nature is so beautiful, it needs people to feel and appreciate it. As long as I have free time ,I always travel to abroad.

Hi maximax8, I also like travelling. It's also the reason I chose the job I have right now. Although it's just within the US and Canada, I still get to travel to different places. I used to have the same job in a different company, and I travelled within the Asia Pacific region. It doesn't take much to make me happy. I like clean sheets in a hotel, and having the bed made after you get back from work, buffets at hotel resturants, wifi at hotel and airports, etc. So yes, travelling makes me happy.

Hi Max I used to drive tractor trailer. I loved going to all the USA and Canada it was great then. I wish I had been able to have traveled over to other countries when I was younger. I would travel in the USA more if I could afford to but. Now I am just happy to stay on our dirt roads. Where I know we are safe from the wild drivers on the highway. Thanks for sharing this with us. Did you get a lot of pictures? If so why not show them to us on here? Thanks hope you have many more trips and places to see! Have a great day!

Hi Free man. It must have been fantastic to drive the tractor trailer all around the USA and Canada. Yes, I took lots of photos on all of my trips overseas. When I began using My Lot I put some photos up with some of my discussions. Since I got my laptop I am not sure how to put some photos onto My Lot. Next year I hope to visit Canada. Have a superb day.

Oh! You've been into a lot of places already. I also love traveling. I just travel anywhere here in the Philippines since I don't have any budget yet to go abroad but I hope someday I'll be able to go to places I've been dreaming to go to like Egypt, China, South Korea, Europe and US. Traveling makes me happy because it helps me relax myself from my stressful work. It gives me a feeling of happiness especially when I'm with the one I love.

I would LOVE to be able to travel a lot. Unfortunately, we do not have the means to travel constantly - or at all, actually. My most exciting trip lately has been to Chicago, via plane - because I was super shocked at how cool the O'Hare airport was. . Otherwise I took ONE road trip to to the Canadian border, and that's it for my "international travel". I would love to study abroad with school or go on some international vacation or travel for work or SOMETHING like that, but it's just not .. gonna happen in the next few years.

OMG I 100% completely agree with you. I haven't been out of the country other than the Bahamas, and Jamaica, but anytime I go out of town, and stay a weekend in a nice hotel, hang with some friends, do whatever, it makes me feel great! I dont really know why. Maybe because it's different. You get away from some of the stress at home. Its ALWAYS good to get away sometimes. Thats how I see it.
