How can we minimize the stress? Any advice is highly appreciated..

We all know that stress is dangerous and the cause of most illnesses. If we can minimize the stress in our life, I am sure we can have a healthier life. How do you cope with stress in your daily life? Any trick to keep you relax? Please kindly share it here. Thanks

Hi Dodyast3, meditation is very highly recommended. The important thing is to practice it daily until you can slip into a meditative state, it will change your body responses, lower heart rate, improve breathing etc., and calms you down. There are many different formats to meditate but you just have to find the one that fits you.

I really want to learn how to meditate. I don't know how. Do you know where I can get information on meditation? I heard since a long time ago that meditation is a good method, but I can't get a good reference about it.

I go to abc-of-meditation. This is a very good site. It has all the articles about meditation. Thanks a lot for the info. Martial arts surely good, but I don't have time to attend the class. I will learn from websites first, see whether I can learn meditation

I think the best place to start may be to go online, there is a website I just saw that is abc-of-meditation.com. It gives you the different types and different goals you want from meditation. In the States, meditation classes are sometimes offered with yoga. Some temples also have meditation sessions. I know many martial arts instructors also would have information. Actually, I have heard that martial arts training is another excellent way of reducing stress, provided you have time and resources. Try online information for where you live. Hope that helps.

Exercise or running is the way to beat stress for me. Stress is all in the mind so if you try to exercise or run you're actually focused on what you're physically doing 95%. If you are so stressed sitting around or doing the same boring thing each day will not do you any good. You've gotta get out of that shell and run from it...literally! 2 miles would be good for you and your heart too. Take care.

we are more stress if we use our minds than our physical body, like thinking of something a lot, thinking our problems at work, family and a lot more, so relax, listen to soft music, go to malls, strolling around and see nice things even relaxing at the beach and have a body massage would help relieve stress.

Yes, I need to balance between thinking with relaxing. At this time, I am using my brain more then relax. So it looks like my brain cannot take it anymore. Thanks for the ideas. I will try to relax a little bit.

Don't think of problems so much. Instead, think of ways to solve it. Learn to relax and pamper yourself once in a while. Have a massage or unwind with friends. It does not have to be expensive. Just a simple day or night-out will do.
