After watching Ponyo, I decided that it would be important to ask such a critical question! Miyazaki is without a doubt an amazing artist, but which film of his do you find to be the most substantial?

The only work that I have seen is the movie Spirited away and well, I loved it to bits. Because of my exposure to that movie, I am willing to indulge myself in other Miyazaki's work. However, I have the inclination that I will hold Spirited Away as my favorite since I have the tendency to like the first things that I encounter or exposed into.

Hi AlkaiserMO!^^ I have watched only a few of Miyazaki's films and among them are Spirited Away, Ponyo, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Princess Mononoke. I have a compilation dvd of these movies but I haven't watched all of it. So far, I like best Spirited Away. It's my favorite because of the amazing adventure that the girl went through. I was amazed at how brave the girl is and she was so brave for going it through all just to bring back her parents back to normal. And the whole movie was just so interesting. After watching Ponyo, I kept asking myself, how can the creator think of things like these?? What a wild imagination!^^ And I like it and I'm just really thankful to my friend who recommended Spirited Away to me. I have actually heard of this movie before but I wasn't interested because it was not my type of anime. But when my friend recommended this, I felt I had to watch it and so I did and I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward on watching the other movies.

He has made many great movies. Among his work, I like My Neighbour Totoro the best. All his movies are meaningful and I always feel that I've learned something after watching his movies.

I have only seen Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, and Howl's Moving Castle, but I love them all. For some reason though, Spirited Away seems to be my favorite. I can't watch it enough! I love how the shoe connects with everything; I just think it's so cute how Chihiro slowly gains her confidence! I want to see more, but my local library only has Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. I was lucky enough to catch Castle in the Sky on Cartoon Network, haha! Hopefully when I move I can find some more somewhere. =]
