Another feebie bites the dust... Hulu

I saw this posted on a local forum and I had to check it out as my hubby watches shows on Hulu all the time http://news-briefs.ew.com/2009/10/22/hulu-to-start-charging-in-2010/ All good things must come to an and... sadly. I wonder if their advertising revenue is down vs what they have to pay out in royalties ect for playing the movies & tv shows. Most anything that has advertising in it has gone down. Hubby even says the ads in print have dropped drastically wich like anything trickles eventually down to you and me the everyday consumer.

Rats! I was actually thinking of getting rid of my cable and watching Hulu but not now. Besides, I hate to watch this little screen and my dogs can't sit on my lap when I'm in front of the computer. I live in a place where I get NO reception even with rabbit ears, you need a big tall antenna to get TV reception. And, of course, a stupid converter box which I don't have, either. I guess I'll stick with my $29 basic package.

I was going to say we don't get reception either even with rabbit ears. However what hubby ended up getting was an outdoor antenna that walmart sells for under $100 and ran a line in thru a window and connected that to the converter box. That works pretty well for us.

Wow. I usually only watch 'Dollhouse' on there since I fall asleep after work on Friday nights and miss it on Fox. But since Fox decided to cancel that show after this season anyways, I guess I can live without it. It was better quality than, say, abc.com, to watch shows like grey's anatomy and such. But if it's gonna cost, I'll wait for it to buffer. Wonderhow long it takes before the domain is up for sale??

I just found Hulu about a month ago so I really hope they don't start charging but it wouldn't surprise me if they did. It happens all the time. !!Happy Turkey Day!! ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**
