Do you ever talk to yourself?

I have talked to myself when no one was around. I am not crazy I think that everyone does it wheather they want to admit or not. I think talking to your self is normal. I mean no one is around to hear you talk to yourself but you. I see nothing wrong with it. Sometimes talking to yourself helps you remember things. You remember it because when you talk to yourself it is like putting a mental note in your head.

Ofetentimes I do that. Actually, whenever I'm thinking, it's like I'm listening to wa my mind is saying.

I do... I find myself talking to myself sometimes... Especially if I am alone and thinking of about somethings... Am I insane??? Hehehehe I don't think so. Cause I don't laugh without no reasons... but yes I smile and laugh when I remember something funny, and sometimes somebody sees me, and need to do some explanation for they might think that I am beginning to lose some screws...

Well, I used to do that when I was younger.I usually do that while walking on my way to school. My classmates would see me mumbling to myself and they used to tease me about it. They thought that I was going insane haha. Sometimes I do that when I'm angry with myself and I did something stupid. It was kind of scolding myself for that matter. Sometimes, I also do that when I need to do something but I was afraid and nervous or just being shy doing it. It was some sort of encouraging and pushing myself in doing it. Somehow, it also helped me ease the pressure and tension. Have a nice day!

yes, sometimes i talked to myself especially when i feel dissapointed. i even cursed myself when i did something i regret too much. when i watch myself in the mirror, i even tell myself..."you stupid, why did you do something like that!" But after that, i feel lightened at least... i know i did something wrong..and i will not do it again. talking to ourselves...sometimes helps to ease the pain inside. Just make sure no one is around....

I don't talk to myself out loud but I do it in my thoughts...like remind myself of something or scold myself or praise myself. I don't think talking to oneself is crazy at all...it keeps us saner at times.

i think most of us do. though not that often as if we do that like every time it may not be good. cause it is boring to talk to one's self. but seomtimes it is really therapeutic to do so to encourage ourselves when there is no one around to do that for us.

Simple exercise..Who knows you better than you?..Who listens to everything you have to say?..Who understands better what you say? OK?..I do it all the time. In fact, with typing this I'm talking outloud to see how it rolls. Not only does it set a mental note, it works in reverse, taking an unformed mental idea and give it a life in words..Does it bother folks?..Perhaps..Do I care?..NO..tho I have considered getting a bluetooth so folks, in public, will think I'm talking on a hidden cell phone (vanity prevails)..enjoy!

I talk to myself at home. I make a lot of mental lists of things I need to get done. I will recite recipes when I am cooking. I talk to myself when I am under a lot of stress and when I am upset. I agree with you that there is nothing wrong with talking to yourself.

I actually delve into self talk sometimes before I go to bed or when I wake up. It keeps me in perspective of things I want to do. It does also help me relax and release tension. You can say everything infront of someone else right? It is a great stress releaser as well as a relaxing habit

I have actually caught myself doing that. I am a stay at home mom with her only kid in school. Things get too quiet around the house. I will be doing something and before I know it I realize I have been talking. I think it's only natural that people do that.

hello tucker, well make sure that no one see's you when your talking by yourself, other wise they will have that crazy thing impression about you. i know, i did that after getting a map in the city hall because of my feasibility project, the staff laughed at me saying am talking to myself, where i was actually analyzing the things that i have done so far. so b careful.

This is very normal activity among us. Talking to ourselver can help us in many ways. Just as what you said, talking to ourselves can help remember something we need and remind us of what we should do next. Another important thing about self talking is we can give us the positive feedback anytime. In this way we can encourage ourselves even if we are in the great trouble and have done the worst job. However the problem of self talking is sometimes we become addicted to our own mind because of this king of self talking. Self talking just confines us in the circle we make ourselves so that you might find hard to get out of our comfortable zone. The life need change all the time, otherwise we can not make progress. Self talking is not bad behavior, but we need to try to break the restriction caused by the selftalking.

Talking to yourself is as normal as going to the bathroom. I think that people have been doing it since the beginning of time. Talking to yourself has many advantages such as voicing out your own opinion and really getting to know yourself better. I talk to myself all of the time. Having a stressful job, I often talk to myself coming back home from work simply because it is the best way to voice out my own opinion without offending anybody and not bringing the fight back home with me. Overall, I think that if you talk to yourself another person will mention that you are crazy but in fact you are a genious.

I talk to myself alot, especially in the morning. I tend to forget what I'm doing if I don't say it to myself haha.
